OK, so now it is getting to where people are given a choice to not leave the house to exercise. This latest game for Wii is most interesting. I plan on trying it out but I also am a Personal Trainer and think that you need more than a game to workout.
I will report back what I think.

I think games like this can have a positive impact, if youngsters see how fun playing Tennis can be in Wii Sports, it's got a better change of encouraging them into a bit of activity than being sat in front of the TV.
But there also needs to be a lot more effort into sporting and leisure activities, certainly here in the UK, sports fields are sold off to developers to build on, swimming pools are closed and then they wonder why children are more overweight than 20 years ago. |

I had a (very) short session on this yesterday, it's certainly more strenuous than Wiifit, Mind you the diet and exercise is going well, Had a walk up the Malvern Hills recently it nearly killed me, but I couldn't go and not get to the top got some nice piccies too.

Bought this game the other week and find it quite fun. It's q change from the Wii fit, and it comes with a strap to put on your leg so you can fit the nunchuck in it.
There is also an elasticky thinkgy which you use for muscling your arms.
I also go to the gym a couple of times a week to compliment. I don't think any of these games can replace real sports or excercise yet, but it should help some couch potatoes do a little excercise every day. _________________

I agree that these could never replace proper exercise, but they're ideal for folks with something like Rheumatoid Arthritis (like myself) after I was virtually flat bound for 18 months while I was waiting for a knee replacement, my fitness really took a hit, it wasn't helped by the steroids I was on back then either (now off them vile things)
Since the bionic knee went in, a diet and increasing exercise I'm getting back into shape (currently I'm not sure what sort of shape that is though), and the Wii certainly has helped.
I'm tempted to get the EA one after my brief session with it |

Agreed. It HAS to be better than Jillian Michael's Fitness Ultimatum 2009, that's for sure. _________________ .

I finally got my wii back so hopefully can try out the EA one, but yeah general consensus from most people is that it's a better workout. I already jog and play sports so we'll see if it compliments well with that, I do enjoy that it comes with a resistance band though!
