Hey. New to this forum and I have a burning question that might've been asked before...
I'm completely down with Playstation from the start, and I'm rolling towards moving on up to PS3 from the PS2 or xbox 360.
Ordinarily I would no way get the 360 however, my favorite game series is Katamari. Word on the street is no My Beautiful Katamari for PS3.
The game is important to me. I dream about Katamari!!!
So I'm not sure what to do and I'm a poor ass dyke!!! So I can only choose one.
I have NO friends that play video games and it was a blessingn to find this site.

| I've personally been boycotting the new systems. The 360 melts down because its broken and poorly designed, and the PS3 costs as much as a new kidney, neither of which are systems I want to support. When they fix the 360 and the ps3 becomes reasonable for a piece of entertainment, then I'd get them. |

I read recently that the prices of all of the systems are going to go down. (no pun intended).
The prices are outrageous making me wish I was some elitest squash playing teenager that was living on mommy and daddy's buck.
Needless to say...
Has anyone played My Beautiful Katamari?
I sit and gaze at it on youtube and drool. |

Hi there
I found it difficult to chose too... Actually I thought i'd get the ps3, but I finally decided on xbox360, because:
1) If you want a multimedia monster machine, ps3 is the one, blu-ray and all... unless you can live with the noise from xbox and does'nt mind paying extra for blu-ray or don't care. I find the xbox too annoyingly noisy to use for dvd + music, and also I'm allready covered nicely thx on the multimedia front otherwise and I only needed it for playing, so xbox works fine for me.
2) Most games are currently developed primarily for the xbox, because the game-engine is easier to program for and programmers are lazy people  Result is that for a while yet games will look nicer on the xbox even though the ps3 has a more powerfull potential. See for instance the Assasins Creed game. Guess the programmers just need time to figure out how too make full use of the ps3, and my guess is that in approx 2 years the ps3 games will kick ass.
3) Well regarding the online part xbox is in the lead. ps3 has some work to do to reach their big dreams. So it also depends on how much you'r going to use this feature. I'm going to use it, and I prefer features that actually function, so again I chose xbox.
Result for me ... I bought the xbox360 and perhaps a ps3 in 2 years when the price is reasonably low and the ps3 has left the xbox behind in the dust, but who knows what other interesting consols will be availeble in 2 years 
No heavenly sword for me then

I'd would rather go for the 360, i fine its better than the ps3. It has better graphics. It has more games than the PS3, I do think there both expensive, but i think the prices have gone down, and i do think the 360 is cheaper than the PS3, well that's just my opinion.

I have both Systems. I mean no matter the down falls are on the Xbox 360 over it breaking down a lot. Basically since the motherboard chip is made my microsoft and its always over heating a lot and most systems get the crazy RROD (Red Ring of Death) iS the bad side of it But they've extended their warrantly to 3 yrs now so nothing bad with getting a New System after it breaks down. The PS3 Motherbard has a PowerPC-base Core @ 3.2GHz and yes it has Blu-Ray but so what Blu-ray will soon be an add on to 360 soon. You can still play ps2 games on the original PS3 when they came out and on some of the new 80 gb systems. Most ps2 games are backwards Compatible just like the Xbox 360 being able to still play old xbox games if its BC (Backwards Compatible) But, the wireless on the ps3 is not that fast as the Xbox 360 is. I like to go wireless. I only use my PS3 To watch movie that is just sad an expensive system just for movie watching. Ehhh. Xbox 360 will always be my system for gameplay, a lot more people have 360's since not many people have PS3'S in order to play with several people online. Unless your the type of person that likes to play on your own. But, thats not fun at all. That's just my opinion.

I'm the type of person that likes to play with tcastle. lol.
With the 360 death concerns, their newer ones are made with better parts and are less likely to suffer RROD. I've had my Halo 3 xbox for 10-11 months now and haven't had any problems. You definitely want to give them lots of breathing room to dispense the heat though.
