abuse onlineHi folks I was wondering if any of you have experienced abuse when playing online? I used to use my headset to talk to people and I’ve made a couple of online ‘friends’. However due to a whole load of verbal abuse from a couple of randoms because I was female I ended up changing my gamertag a few months ago.
Has anyone had any similar experiences?

Yeah it can get pretty bad. I pretty much mute them or file a complaint.

yup of course. especially in the realm of halo 3. r6v2 i don't think ive ever had a problem,, really nice crowd.
i find it funny when you walk into a room and talk and the whole room starts abusing you "ooh girl" etc
then you leave disgusted and ALWAYS 2 of them try to then friend you trying to do the whole "they are stupid" "your hot" type thing. Its comic.

I used to talk to trolls on /trade/ but I realized that there are plenty of players on my server and /ignoring a few idiots won't hurt.

I really don't like playing online often due to the cost and overall jerkiness of some of the players. I used to play Aegis Wing a lot and I'm pretty good at it, which some guys don't seem to like. One of the last times I played I was with some guys that asked me if I was a girl and started saying that I was having sex with them (what?!) whenever I did the power-up move that joins ships together. Then after I started ignoring them, they called me "raining nutsack" and booted me from the game, and then sent me multiple friend invites afterwards. Nice.
