This produces a tone supposedly only people below the age of 25 can hear. Got this on another site, peeps over 50 are hearing it so I doubt it works but let's see if y'all can hear it. I hear that shiz loud and clear but then again I'm only turning 23 in like 2 weeks.

I'm 28 and I can hear it.

Really pisses me off that they use this as a deterrent in housing areas and such, especially since small children are able to hear it as well.

Wonder how the ACLU is doing fighting those devices anyways? I'm actually pretty suprised that I can hear that tone though, I have listened to Cradle of Filth with the volume turned to 11 on my car stereo.

They discussed this on BBC 4 and decided to play it - it made me postitively homicidal and is used as a common deterrent against teenagers here :/

But given that it's based on the logic that your hearing pitch lowers as you get older, it makes sense that the rule of "under 25" won't always apply. It is annoying as shiz though.

The use of that noise to deter teens from loitering seems rather idotic to me Confused

Well I heard it and it was particularly high-pitched.
Umm it wasn't as annoying to me as I thought it would be though.

This gives me reassurance that my iPods and earbuds haven't made me completely deaf yet though.
