Christmas movies

so as it's nearing that time of the year, if you celebrate it, what movie or movies are mandatory for you to watch during the Christmas holiday season, whether by your own or family/friends decree?

mine are definately The Christmas Story because it really is a classic and it's hard to avoid since one channel usually ends up playing it like 10 times a day for a week or something. second is The Ref because Christmas with Denis Leary and Kevin Spacey is COMEDY PLATINUM.

Definatly "A Christmas Story"

I still have it on VHS, (Stop laughing! I can't help it, I'm old Sad )

I like
Miracle Down Under,
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the cartoon with Boris Karloff narrating--although it's a tragedy how the Grinch was brainwashed at the end--I hate noise, too!),
Miracle on 34th Street (the original),
A Christmas Carol (1938),
It's a Wonderful Life,
Christmas in Connecticut (one of the funniest movies, ever),
Holiday Affair (1949),
and a lesbian-themed one: Treading Water (2001) with Nina Handey & Angela Redman,

and a bunch of others. I'm a movie buff.

There was one, made for TV, I think, where Beau Bridges plays a cowboy on his way to a yearly Christmas dance to propose to a woman he met there the year before, when he finds a family sick in their cabin during a blizzard. Does anyone remember the name of that one?

Muppet Christmas Carol!! hahaha

It's been a tradition for me since it came out (1992). Ack, that makes me feel old.

oh shoot, i almost forgot...Home Alone. that's one that the family usually puts in during the season as well. ah, Macaulay Culkin before Party Monster. XD i remember going to see it in the theatres with my family when it first came out and to this day, my aunt and uncle still say that i laughed so hard throughout the entire movie, they were surprised i didn't pass out.

Miracle on 34th Street and It's a Wonderful Life are usually movies that my dad will play during the season. At work, they've started showing Santa Clause on the tv screens, which i have to admit, was a pretty fun movie.

and don't feel so bad, Margali, i probably have a metric ton of VHS tapes still laying around. XD though i think most of them are 'old' anime fansubs. Mad

There is only one Xmas movie you should all watch this year and it's

I'll Be Home For Christmas

Man I LOVE this movie, it's funny, cute and stars Jessica Biel.. what more could you ask for. Okay so it's not a masterpiece like some, it's just mindless fun.
