Desperate times call for desperate measures...

~.~;; It's VERY difficult to find a nice girl in the midwest.  Most of them are Jesus freaks and already have children.  The teen pregnancy rate in this county is higher than Chicago's.

So I've tried internet dating before- at least three times.  Well, all of them ended in massive failure (one decided to be straight, one became a creepy stalker that would skip school just to find out if I was in the shower, and the other was a soulless drone that was only after my male roommate).  Not to mention, I hardly had anything in common with ANY of them... But despite recent failures I'm willing to try again.

=P  So IF anyone is interested in a fairly perverted 19 year old  blonde, short, loves Pokemon, RPGs,  maid/nurse costumes, cuddling, and just about anything that doesn't involve men, please respond.
dmc3mary-is-hot

you must be desprate if you asking people out on a forum
but i would be very tempted if i didn't already have a girlfriend, lol
i'am sure you'll find someone great for you but weather that person will be on the internet i don't know Laughing
Smoogles

But lots of dating sites have forums too, it's not necessarily desperation, just an alternative to going out on the scene.

And it's dead here too, even though it's supposed to be dyke central, I'm still single.  I see singledom as a permanent fixture.  Only took me just over 30 years to find the first.. so the next should crop up around about 60-70 years old I reckon.

And that first part was not a hint btw. sorry.
Frances

Light you had me sold at fairly perverted  Razz    hehe just jokes. If I lived in the States I would for sure come and take you out. Alas I'm an Aussie and also in a lesbian deadspot. Theres a pumping male gay scene but no women anywhere, frustrating huh.
narukoyuri

Pokemon! Yay! Unfortunate I also live on a different continent Sad
Another Aussie here. Everyone I meet online seems to be at least a state away. :\
Light.Shard

Ah!  What a heaping pile of lamesauce!  ~.~;; Every girl I've ended up having the least bit of interest in wasn't in America.  =P  I knew I had to get out of here.  Lol.

=D  Well at least I could make some friends?  It's kind of odd looking on the bright side when I used to be so pessimistic.  Oh well, it's not like I'm wilting or anything.  I'll always have my PS2 and DS to be my company.

But still, why do all of the cool ones have to live so far away?  I guess I need to get my eyes repaired and learn how to fly a plane?

Nah, that won't work.  I can't even drive a car.  Oh well.  I will find a way.  Like becoming rich and famous?  Hey, uglier and less talented people have done it!

In my case, I'll probably end up with one of my straight male friends. *sigh*

Yeah their always right in front of you, problem is their always straight lmao.

Vickie, doooooooooon't do it!!!!!!!
Ness~

lol heyyyy we're not ALL bad in the midwest. ;]
hassie

All the lovely ladies I know are in relationships and I'm not the type to try and break people up. I end up spending more time talking to other single women online than I do actually dating. Sad old life.[/b]
dusty

I would love to take you out on a date if I could. I live in Florida, U.S.. I work with a lot of girls but it is hard to tell if some one is into girls or not. I don't want to flat ask them because that can become weird.

I'm trying the online dating thing to. All I've gotten is someone who only wants to exchange pictures. I want more than that.

All the best luck!
Five

Aww, I know how that is. D: The dating scene sucks at the moment.

I totally don't know you at all, and I don't date people I don't know, but we should talk. Wink
katiedid

Well, I live in Chicago & don't drive, but if you're in town some time I'd be more than happy to take you out. Ya know, so long as you don't mind me. Smile
Kaledio_Ruby

Don't feel too bad. I live in California for god's sakes. And I work in bloody San Francisco with 5 other lesbians on my staff.... and I've been single for several years now with no prospects.

I even hosted a lesbian panel at Fanime 2008 and mentioned being single and I didn't get a single offer for a date. =/

But anyhow, it's getting harder and harder to meet women. Most people I know hook up through friends or co-workers. The online dating scene has kind of died over the last 4 years and the once widely used gay singles sites, Gay.com and Planetout.com have dried up. OMG, I'm going on about this like we're in a bloody draught! It's a lesbian famine! Ha ha ha!!

I say, keep trying whatever you think might get you there. For everytime you get turned away, just say, "Well, damn... at least I tried, right?"
Serenity

Lesbian dating scene?  It exists?  LOL  Don't worry, you are not alone in your singleness.

I love anime, but have never watched pokemon before. I'll have to give it a try sometime. I've only been into anime for a few years, so most of what I've seen is the newer stuff like Beck and Melancholy of Haruhi.

everyone who's complaining about the dating scene should definitely move here - london. the only chance of not getting laid around here is if you don't want to.
smaggot08

Hahaha! Oh really? XD Sounds awesome.

I'm not nearly confident enough to even begin looking for someone, so I can't say whether or not finding a date is hard....<< Though a lot of girls I know here are quite...desperate. They cling to any man they can get their paws on. It's so pathetic it drives me nuts. DX (not the wanting to be with a guy thing, I'm not heterophobic. I mean when their boyfriend lies to them, cheats, cusses them out, etc, and they refuse to break up with them because omg they are so sweet.)

Hmmm. ~_~ Yeah. There are probably plenty of lesbians who lack some serious self-confidence (for no good reason) and so do not put themselves out there....

I can see why there are issues with self confidence and being affirmative. Honestly, for almost everyone in the GLBT community, before we had the confidence to tell people that we're gay or lesbian or whatever, we had to have the confidence to tell ourselves. Overcoming boundaries like that would certainly diminish one's own self-confidence. I find myself explaining to people all the time that my "dating pool" is smaller than theirs. It's a wading pool and for years, I had to convince myself that it was okay to be in this pool and then I had to tell everyone that I would be using this pool and not theirs. Sorry for the confusing analogy. It makes sense in my head.

As a sidebar note, I come in contact with several English folk every day, since the place where I work is host to Virgin Atlantic crews. From what I've heard, it's quite a party.... not a lot of lesbians, though. At least not on the crews. -_- pity.. I've a thing for accents.

LOL oh man, i have a friend that keeps telling me that i just need to 'get laid' but bleh...for me, the idea of sex without any sort of emotional attachment seems so...shallow and simpleminded. more power to the people who do do the swinging thing and feel comfortable with it, it's just not my thing. heck, i'm not even into poly and usually there's emotion involved with that. i'm just a single loving type of lady. :3

anyways, umm...i dunno, while it does suck being single, especially when it seems like everyone around you is either partnered up, MARRIED or even MARRIED with CHILDREN, i try not to just throw myself into the dating scene with reckless abandon. it's tempting at times because i just feel so lonely but at the same time, i want a relationship that's true. personally, i've been trying hard to find someone local because i've been burned by the LD thing so bad recently but even being in the SF bay area and the whole 'being Out is okay and cool!', i've yet to find anyone i really can connect with.

and of course, there's the whole confidence thing of me being in my late 20s, still living with the 'rents, still working a retail job and still trying to finish up school, and wondering if anyone would want to go for that, not to mention my love for gaming and other 'childish' hobbies as anime/manga and comics. i hardly look like a 'grown up' with my closet full of jeans/shorts, threadless/concert/g33k related t-shirts and various sneakers.

of course, i don't really feel like i could/should/would reinvent myself just to land a girlfriend, especially since a majority of my friends are g33ks of varying natures and most have managed to find someone to match them just fine. not to say i'm not trying to grow up and leave the nest at all either. i definitely WANT to finish up school so i can have a CAREER to have enough money to live on my own in Califonia (because gosh dang do i love it here and don't want to move away if i don't have to) and get move out of my parents' place but it seems like any time i start to make enough money to start saving up for all of that, Life(tm) throws in another one of those Character Building Trials(tm) that puts my bank account back in the red, such as my CAR breaking down beyond repair. ARGH! DX

i don't know, maybe we just make it too difficult for ourselves thinking we have to live up to any sort of expectation of the type of people we want to be with. or that we should have any expectations beyond them being a good and honest person as well. :/
smaggot08

Too many expectations, huh.....that...may be true. In truth, the true happiness behind the relationship is really the love of companionship rather than "love" itself. It seems women in particular strive to have this kind of ultimate companionship.

Ack, poor nekotine. Many many others share your luck, trust me. XD Arrrg.

Lol, heck no, I'd rather be alone then not in love Neutral

If I want a companion I'll get a puppy :X
I Vitality I

All of you have really good points.I too don't mind the loneliness, but after a while it starts to get to you. I live by myself in my apartment, and I find it hard to keep busy. I have a blockbuster.com account, so I find myself at the store getting new movies every weekend.

I work Monday through Friday from morning till about 5ish and I come home, watch T.V, read, or play x-box. I pretty much see a new movie every Friday...even twice sometime...just to get out of my apartment.

Sometimes it is good to be alone..but as smagott said..we need a companion..someone to talk too, Lately I have been listening to a lot of music to fill the void of being alone..as some are the story of my life..LOL..

a puppy..aweee..

most of the lesbians i know are now socializing through myspace. for serious!

for some reason, there are a load of lesbians in denver but they only come out for pride. it's weird. the ones i do see out and about are already ones i know *cough*dated/slept with my friends*cough* and therefore and am not much interested in.

there's only so much time a bunch of lesbians can be at the same time without it ending in drama.

No, it can only be mud. There has to be rocks available so one of the chicks can bash the other chick in the face  when her STAR POWER bar is full. What's jello gonna do? It's too messy.
