District 9Great movie, anyone else here seen it?
Personally, I loved it because it combined some of my favorite things: Aliens, Explosions, criticism of the way we look at immigrants and how easy it is to dehumanize people.
Stricly speaking there is no lesbian content at all (although the aliens do appear to be a-sexual in nature) but the theme about dehumanizing or othering those who are different certainly applies to the anti-gay-marriage crowd.

so goodMy brother dragged me to it, and I thought it was going to suck.... but I was really really impressed with the storyline - totally recommend it

It really is a great movie IMO, but I do have mixed feelings. I found it disturbing and difficult to watch at times

Great movie. Disturbing parallels to real life. Awesome acting - doubly so when you realize the guy who played Wilkus improvised most (all?) of his lines. Brilliantly executed what with the gritty feel of it all and the documentary footage.
With that said - and at the great risk of sounding like a dirty pervert - Wilkus and/or hermaphroditic Prawn porn-content is currently dominating, at least, 70% of the websites I frequent. I'm not sure which is worse; that Rule 34 is alive and well, that I'm disturbingly "okay" with said content, or that I've actually considered contributing. 
... The internet ruins everything for me...

This is one of those films that I may actually go to the cinema to see especially seeing as Peter Jackson produced it.

I walked in expecting a typical alien vs human movie...nopeee quite the opposite!
It was an AMAZINGG movie. The graphics were awesome, makes you believe the aliens are real. It definitely portrays some real life scenarios and scenarios as to how typical humans would react in certain situations.
Definitely one of my favorite movies!

And does portray human nature at its worst.

One of the best movies I've watched this year, so far! Seamless stitching of the mockumentary treatment with the feature film treatment! Great actors, too.
