I've been playing a bit of this one here and there too. My main complaint is that the world seems really weirdly random to me. Like the enemies might as well be a bunch of randomly magically animated toys for toddlers or something.  The pet system seems really cool though, and the whole 'birthday skills' idea is pretty unique.
I really need to invest in a second hard-drive so that I have more room for games on my PC. >.<
