Fallen EarthBeen playing this for a long time (since I got admitted for alpha). It went live sept 22. Kinda bad timing with realese of Aion at the same time. Then again those pickingAion wouldn't go for Fallen Earth due to vast difference of style, graphics and settings.So ya wondering, what is Fallen Earth? It's a MMO set in a post apocalyptic, post viral world, our very own dear earth. Set around the Grand Canyon. Cloning has been perfected before the war, and you are one! Which gives some reason why you never fully die. The world is huge, there is a steady learning curve so it isn't as pick up friendly as WoW or similar. For me having to figure things out is more rewarding than being lead by the nose. The imoprtant part! Female armor does NOT comprise of a bikini and high heels \0/. It's the same for female and male. Dirty, rusty, torn armor made from what you can scavange. I was considering giving Fallen Earth a try because it seems like a good time. I love games with a post apocalyptic setting. Looking at the screenshots it seems a lot like Fallout or something? Back several/four-five years ago or so I played Neocron and Anarchy Online as well. ^^ Anyway I'm so excited to see such an awesome looking game like this coming from a fairly unknown game developer even in such uncertain economic times. It makes me feel hopeful. I think I shall try it out to prepare for the end of the world ne? ^^
Hopefully my slightly aged computer can run this puppy OK. I know it could not run Aion for sure >.<.... Hope to see lots of you peoples in game! ~Django |

/blush/ well what do ya know? I'd never actually looked at Aion's system reqs before haha.
I just know it ran really bad on my machine during beta, but I suppose I can't judge the release version's performance based on that. I had looked at Fallen Earth's, and so far although my computer only meets the minimum it runs it on medium settings just fine. /shrug/ I dunno. I'm not too smart so computers are mysterious to me in many ways even though I like them. ^^ System requirements is one of those things where it seems like it's only accurate sometimes? Oh well, it doesn't really matter to me as long as it's working. lol! ~Django |

Theres been a lot of optimising done with patches, before couldnt enter Embrry without crashing, My computer getting old and rickety a bit, does get a bit icky in busy main towns but i run in do what i need to ddo then get outa dodge ^_^ Apart from that, it runs really good.Really hoping they do a buddy key thing soon as I know a few friends that are on the fence about joining, trying I think can persuade them to come to it. There upcoming big patch starts to add social toys |0/ first one being player camps. Which brings back soo many memories of SWG RPiing in camps. Anyways, my Char names are Kiwoo, Toshi and Kaylinha. |
