Fallout IAnyone playing? I thought I'd play this and fallout II to get ready for Fallout 3.
I'm just starting and dinking around outside and inside Vault 13 before I get ready to travel to Vault 15.
Lets start a thread if anyone else is playing. I'm playing a women (decieded she should be 32) who going to try to make it with ranged weapons but we'll see.

Thanks Yuna
It would have been fun to have you playing . Mac's are tough for games, might get a little better as more people are buying Mac's but its all about numbers and even the PC doesn't get all the support it could for games because mirosoft wants to sell consoles.
But you know depending on the type of games you like to play, you could probably find an older XP rig with AGP and a good card fairly inexpensively and just use it to play older games....but you'd have to have the room and want to fuss with setting it up. On my Adventure Game forum some people have 2 or 3 computers with older operating systems to play older games. There are a lot of great older RPG's.
I'll hang out a little longer to see if anyones playing. I stoped in a place called Shady Sands on my way to Vault 15 and killed some Radioactive scorpians to help them out, I think I got poisened and I am going to try and read up about how to tell and what to do about it on my lunch today. The cows at Shady Sands cracked me up . I wish I had me a little house like in Oblivion with a correl out back and I could get me some of those cows...I'd pay one of those kids that are running around to feed them while I was out adventuring. Oh and I'm going to read about bartering too, I need to get rid of some of the extra loot I've aquired and pick up some ammo and meds.

I haven't played this game. But, From seeing the trailers of part 3 it looks good. We basically give you a game disc demo when you reserve it. I should just take one from work since im not really reserving one. Shush don't tell.

i know... i truly love my mac and wouldn't trade it for the world, but either i get a pc too or give up computer gaming - cause it's just too much fuss to get games going on the mac, really. i might end up getting a pc.

This game is so fun, the graphics are definately retro by todays standard but its a blast to play. And really it seems to fit right in because the theme is very ironic and 50's/60's duck and coverish, cold war stuff. Shows my age but I did do duck and cover drills at grade school during the cuban missle crisis, yep nothing like an old school desk to save you from the nucluer holicost. Its a brillant game. The cows in Shady Sands have two heads. And I love all the interface screens and how you talk to people.
I'm going to have to deciede if I want to play Fallout 3 on my PC (4 years old now...bit dated for new games, not sure I could play Bioshock or The Witcher on it though I will try) or console. I was surprized how much better Oblivion looked on my PC after I tryed it out on my console (PS3) with the big TV screen, that's the first game I have for both platforms. Think I'll go one way or the other for new games.....too expensive to do both.

I'm definitely looking forward to the new Fallout game. Not even that much longer til it comes out. The end or October I believe is the release date. I haven't seen them release specs yet which is a bit annoying. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to get a new graphics card cause mine's a dud.

I loved playing Fallout 1. Don't remember Fallout 2 much.
Is it true that Australia ruined the game ? I didn't follow the story.

Hehe cool.
I've been playing World of Goo for a few days to keep myself distracted while waiting for Fallout 3...
I need Fallout 3 before World of Goo makes me completely crazy.
