Is anyone even remotely interested in Harvest Moon here? XP I know some were disappointed in DS, but you should find some measure of likeness in CUTE. Which is the same as DS, only you play as a girl.

The catch here is that apparently there are certain characters you can have move in with you, instead of marrying a guy. XD Not exactly marriage, but close enough for now, eh?

Hm, I also think I heard somewhere that they might remove that from the American version? I don't know, my mind's a bit hazy at the moment. But man, I really wish I could find some glitch in the game where I could marry another girl. XD kekeke...

Anyway, this got me thinking. This isn't the first time there's been a hint of lesbianism in games. I mean, I've seen a few things here and there, but I know that it's mostly to attract guys. Usually games that have those sorts of implications for the female characters never have the same for male characters. (I'm looking at YOU Summon Night...)

So lesbians usually get the better deal than yaoi fangirls. While lesbian yaoi fangirls are just happy and a little disappointed. (like I am... XD haha..)

I was just wondering what you thought. Would you even care if there was no man on man implications? =P And by the way, I remember a long while back there being some controversy about the game "Bully" or something? Can anyone fill me in?

XD Aside from this, I can't wait for this Harvest Moon game to finally be released in english. I think it'll be some time in 08.

The game Bully had people in uproar because it featured two schoolboys kissing. Well, that and the fact it was leapt upon as promoting Bullying by every anti-bullying lobby on the globe. Needless to say when it came out and was actually played, that wasn't really the case.

Score another one for the unamable Mr JT.. that guy gets games more coverage than actual marketing companies and I don't mean Justin Timberlake lol.

Wow, if CUTE really lets you have other girls move in with you, then I am all for getting a copy of that!

To answer your question, I think it is sad that the male character in Harvest Moon can't ask another male to move in with him. There is this whole thing about guys being the lone wolf and somehow that is "manly". I think it's tragic! There is nothing wrong with a guy having a BFF. I think it would be mentally and emotionally stabilizing for them.

Anyway, Harvest Moon is the Sh*t! XD Something about seeing those veggies come to fruition makes things so satisfying. Have you played Rune Factory? It's basically an extension of the Harvest Moon gameplay, and it's got a bit of an RPG element to it that shakes things up a bit.

Did anyone have problems with their DS copy of Harvest Moon? My Harvest Moon DS copy broke on me a couple times (Encountered a crash and got my save corrupted once Sad

), so I've been wary about continuing to play on it... I sent it back to natsume and got a new cart.

Y'know, I was all set to get Harvest Moon for the DS...but then my friend told me it has a tendency to freeze up on people so I skipped it. :/ I remember watching my little cousin play it on his GC for a bit while I was reading the manual for it, and I can't remember exactly when he got stuck on but he did and asked me (because I had become 'the cool older cousin that is an awesome gamer' ever since he saw me play 007 on the GC) what he should do. I hadn't actually played the game at that point but as I had been reading bits of the manual, I knew what to do so I told him. The rest of the conversation went something like this:

"Wow! It worked! Awesome! How'd you know that I had to do that?"
"Umm, I read the manual...?"
"Ooooh, right..the manual. I never actually sat down and read it."
"That's kinda what they're there for, kiddo." n.n;

And as for yaoi fangirls, they don't NEED to see actual onscreen stuff to fangirl. That's what 'caught in a storm and there's only one blanket' fanfics are for. XD

You should try to find a used GC copy of Harvest Moon to play on your Wii, since there's no Harvest Moon for the Wii yet. As for the DS, I would suggest waiting for Harvest Moon Cute (hopefully all the bugs from HMDS got fixed!) or getting Rune Factory, which has the basic Harvest Moon elements, but with the RPG twist. AND it has a nifty anime intro at the beginning Wink
