Enjoying myself hugely despite that I suck at FPSs, and am even considering picking up Halflife 2 now GirlyG Hi and welcome. I've got Halo 3, though to be honest I despise the online aspects of the Halo series, so I'm of little use to you. A couple of girls I play on Live with said they were members of GamerChix and they got banned from the forum and had their Preferred Player thing revoked over talking about starting a lesbian clan, because apparently it wasn't "OK'd" by the powers that be. Hopefully when more people join then you'll get a ton of cool grrls to play with! Really? Huh...that's kind of scary. There is a thread about relationships, and while it's mostly straight girls, there are a handful that talked about gaming with their girlfriends. I said that I was happy to see that, and I wasn't sure how it would be received. That I live in a small town and people here are pretty horrible about it. And one of the girls said people like that can go jump of a cliff or something like that. So...so far it's been okay. I haven't seen anything like that, but I haven't been a member for all too long. Still the internet is getting more and more sensored I guess, strange given a few years ago people were applauding it for being the home of true free speech. As for Halo. Sorry I don't play online anymore. I hear the single player is really short also. Jude Halo was supposed to come out for the Mac first before Bungie sold themselves ( sold out!) to Microsoft right before the game was supposed to come out. Microsoft wanted an exclusive game that everyone was looking forward to that it could put out to run on their upcoming new console, the X-Box. Anyway, before Microsoft got ahold of it, Halo was supposed to be a much more involved game, with some role-playing aspects and more detailed story, and not just a straight-out shooter. When Halo was finally released for the Mac, I got it, hoping it would still be good. I mean, it was still a Bungie game, having been nearly finished before Microsoft took over. And Bungie made great games (the Marathon series, the Myth series, for example), But, it seems it was gutted and trimmed to make it work well in time for the release of the X-Box, and they never fixed it up again... I played it several times, thinking that if I started again without such high expectations, maybe I would like it, but I didn't. The game just kept reminding me of what it should have been because it felt like a crippled Bungie game. So, Halo was such a disappoint for me, that I didn't even care whether any of the sequels came out for the Mac. Well, I don't know anything about the clan, but I can say that it's not necessarily true that they are anti-lesbian. As a person who has been involved with a clan (before I got tired of exactly this sort of BS), I can say that most clans don't like it when their own members leave (or talk about leaving) to form other clans. So it's probably that the administrators didn't want people leaving the clan to make a new one.
