I wouldn't call Jez a feminist site... it's a blog for women's issues.
I'm pretty sure a feminist site wouldn't have daily features to critique the looks of celebrities >.>;
It's still an awesome blog. Have been reading it daily for nearly a year along with io9, kotaku and consumerist.

Uhmmm...I wouldn't tell them that. They critique fashion and that's different. There's a fine line between dressing well and making a mistake. It's not like they say stuff like "OMG SHE IS SO FAT!!!!" They even have rants about misogyny and people like Perez Hilton being totally rude. They're total feminists and women's issues definitely fall under the category of feminism, which concerns women's issues.
I critique people's clothes all the time and I'm 100% feminist.

I would say it's like TMZ or Perez Hilton but much much more tolerable thanks to the softer tone. And to a certain extent, women's issues too.

If Rush Limbaugh was interested in Celeb news instead of the polical world, he'd be Perez Hilton.

I can stand Rush. He is stuck in like the 16th century.
And I once heard Perez make a statement about "dragging people out of the closet kicking and screaming if necessary." He lost all respect at that moment.
I've hated him ever since. I hate people who out others or tell other people's business.

I think ya might misunderstand the point of feminism...
The feminist movement revolves around activism to promote equal rights and push women's issues in the realm of politics, government, human rights... ie. something Jezebel isn't particularly interested in. Feminism isn't making sure Hillary Swank wears the right dress to the Oscars, following Lindsay Lohan's relationship with Sam Ronson, or giving women tips on how to give excellent blow jobs to their boyfriends. A site can target women and be positive for women without be "feminist".
I still think Jezebel has no claims on feminism... nor have they made any.

Ok, no. You obviously do not read their website. They are completely against that sort of thing. Not only do they inform about fashion and celebrities, but they also comment on politics and womens' rights. The sex articles are typically either comedic or criticism.
"Young Girls Gain Confidence From Presidential Election"
"Bank Of England: Female Employees Should "Always Wear Some Sort Of Makeup""
"Dear Mr. Gallagher: The '50s Are Calling" (Mike Gallagher, that former R house maj. leader, about his sexist comments)
"Tobacco Companies Target Women In South Korea"
"Science: Nice Women Are Teases" (Angry critique)
"What's "Wrong" With The Lilly Ledbetter Act?"
If this isn't a site advocating feminism, then I just don't know what is anymore.
And the point of feminism is to allow women to be women and be able to obtain power and rights at the same time. In other words, we're allowed to care about fashion! Jezebel is a feminist site that lets women be women, and their articles totally vary. They have an article about nearly everything.

I've already told you that I do... but apparently not agreeing with you is enough to disqualify my own experience
As for the blow job tips which have never been given... I suppose you've never seen the "pot psychology" series.
A majority of the questions submitted and answered are about kinky sex (including how to give a better blow job, yes), embarassing personal habits and drug/alcohol overuse. It's meant to be funny, yes, but it isn't feminist.
Join a women's study course in university if you want to learn about feminism. It -ISN'T- a random gossip blog designed and maintained to turn a profit.
-quoties-The Jezebel manifesto states that the site "will attempt to take all the essentially meaningless but sweet stuff directed our way and give it a little more meaning, while taking more the serious stuff and making it more fun, or more personal, or at the very least the subject of our highly sophisticated brand of sex joke. Basically, we wanted to make the sort of women's magazine we'd want to read."-end quoties-
As for feminism, read up、 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feminism

I have to agree with Tsurara_mai on this one... this is not really a feminist website.

It sure is more feminist than Kotaku or D-toid.

can it be feminist lite? as somoene who actually read it for a while id say its more up the feminist spectrum than a lot of other things. It does stuff like take other blogs to task for saying sexist things etc.

lol, really.
And as for pot psychology, shouldn't the title explain it all?
Feminism exploded in popularity in the 1970s', and as any middle-aged person will tell you, "everyone" did the mary jane. It was a part of culture. I don't think some arrogant university should be able to decide what is and isn't feminist. If you promote womens' rights and are actively against sexism, you're definitely a feminist, whether Harvard or community college likes it or not, and whether you give BJs or not. You can be a feminist and still enjoy celebrities, fashion, sex, and drugs. I know many that do.
P.S. Tracie isn't doing pot psychology anymore (It's on hiatus!) She's getting married amongst other things. And she would totally have something to say if someone told her she was unfeminist just because she's an individual and she's proud of it.
She tells it like it is. And their pot-infused sex advice was pretty honest, from personal experience, unlike Vogue and other mag rags they criticize. It was also hilarious!

The right to talk about fashion and better blowjobs? we've obviously got it going pretty good if thats all we're fighting for anymore (I haven't really read the site so my opinion is moot, this is just kind of a funny thread)

lol ya. It's a really entertaining site whether you consider it feminist flavored or not (the writers of it and the majority of their fans do). I like me some feminist flavor.
