Anyone planning on picking up this MMO when its released? I'm usually not a big fan of MMOs (just cant seem to get into them) but this one looks pretty good with a big focus on storytelling, something that seems lacking in most MMOs. I'm also a big fan of KOTOR 1 & II so I'm hoping this will be just as amazing.
Anyways, lesbiangamer guild when it comes out?? Wink

Mainly cause I absolutely love the KOTOR series. Possibly my favorite of the Star Wars stories even. Definitely hoping that Bioware can pull through and deliver us an MMO that isn't just about the pointless grind.

Right now the game is not even in beta, But that dont stop the rabid starwars fans from hyping things up as fans do. Bioware is so tight lipped nothing is really confirmed on actual game mechanics. So lots of speculation and wishful thinking going on the forums daily.

As for this being anything like SWG, not at all, no relation at all.
The Old Republic is set 300 years After KOTOR timeline, and 3000 years before the Darth Vader and the Movies.

SOE has nothing to do with this game its all Bioware (EA) and Lucas Arts.

Replayed KOTOR 1+2 this month. Gotta say, if those two games didn't have so many horrible bugs that made playing through them a bit of a headache they would be among the best games I've ever played.
As it is, I enjoy the storylines in them as much/if not more than the Star Wars movie trilogies.

If the new MMO has less horrible bugs...

which I imagine will be the case, KOTOR1 is a really old game so it's bound to have issues more issues on a current PC than on an older one even >.< . KOTOR2 wasn't Bioware's problem,(the storyline was good, but oh the horrible, horrible bugs! at least on every pc i've tried it on since it came out, it's had more trouble than KOTOR1) and Mass Effect didn't have nearly as many CTDs.

It remains to be seen if Bioware is up for dealing with the sea of whining QQ tears and the cult of epeen-enhancement that is the MMO community at large but hopefully this will be the game I've been waiting to play since 2005. Cool

Also I checked out the website for the game again, the new little timeline video things are pretty cool. Like the new info on the Mandalorians.
