MIlkI really wanted to see this movie about Harvey Milk, the gay rights activist as it looks really good and has received critical acclaim from all the reviewers however I live in the "Bible Belt." More specifically Charlotte, NC and it's not playing in any theater near here.
I was disappointed.
Sean Penn is the lead role.
UGGHHHH I hate living here.
Anyway has anyone else seen it?

No, but I very much want to! And ugh, yeah. I have a friend down in SC, and he couldn't find a theater in 100 miles of him that was playing Religulous. If I ever move, it will be northward.
Every clip I've seen from Milk looks great.

This movie does look pretty good. I loved Sean Penn in "I am Sam"

Wasn't he though. It (I Am Sam) was one of the few movies that almost led me to a tear.
I really, really wanna see this.
The closest viewing is in like Maryland somewhere as I understand it.
Its frickin' 2008 for Christ's sake, people needa grow up and accept the world for what it is.

I really wanted to see Milk in theaters, but I think I missed it... I dunno, it might still be playing somewhere in Berkeley.

I wanna see Seven Pounds, The Day The Earth Stood Still, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Valkeyrie (don't quote me on the spelling).
All look to be good offerings...
As you can tell, I'm a movie junkie.

Ohh, I wanna see The Day the Earth Stood still too. Oh, and The Watchmen. I work at blockbuster so that's the real reason I just wait for movies to come out on dvd

Girl, I already told you, the day the earth stood still was not that great of a movie. Bored me. Watchmen Im waiting to see that one. YOu dvd moocher.

This is the Academy Award movie season so it's hard to catch all the good movies coming out. Personally I have no money after buying my daughter Christmas presents as well as my cousins.

What, nobody want to see the Spirit? Come on, Frank Miller did the screenplay for it! And I don't think any theater's near me had/have Milk. Michigan is pretty republican...

I hated Wanted. And I guessed what was really going on about half way through the movie so that didn't help. I haven't read those comics.
I haven't read many Spirit comics either. I'm excited for it because I like the style of movie it is and I'm a huge Frank Miller fan.

I just saw this movie and ..I thought Sean Penn did an awesome job portraying Harvey Milk. He stood up when no one else would..and echoes of his legacy still live on...
Its sad..that not much has changed over 30 years..maybe someday it will..
