Fraggot Clan Gaming Night (December 21, 2007 5pm EST)Hi Lesbian Gamers! Just wanted to stop by and let yall know about our site and to give you information incase any of you are hardcore PC players.
Fraggots like to call ourselves GLBTS (mostly G, though we want more LBTS).. This is primarily a first person shooter clan and we have 3 game servers (one for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Team Fortress 2, and a UK server for Call of Duty 4).
We're having a game night this friday evening...

I'm always concerned about what constitutes spam.... usually posting only once about your own site......
And there are already quite a few posts about the Fraggot clan in here, so maybe next time you could check around first and add to it?

Yes one thread for the fraggots would make more sense and keep things neater.

This is supremely embarrassing. I thought I told all the Fraggots on Ventrilo not to come here and bother about it... They should have been aware that I put a plug in once before, so there was no need for repeats. I'm so sorry about that. I know this doesn't really reflect well on our community, so I hope that you're all willing to forgive this whole incident as a mere lack of organization. For my part, I'm making sure nobody else comes from my end by putting a thread on our forums about it.

First, I'm sorry Sierra I must've not have gotten the part about not bothering the lesbian gamers. I saw a single post with the Fraggots on it, and I didn't really think it was thorough.
Secondly, I wasn't spamming. Just trying to bridge the community. And I won't try to reiterate my initial point of the post.
Third, if you don't want guys(and I'm gay btw) coming to your site, that idea should probably be explicitly stated somewhere on the front page to avoid us crowding your space. Sierra is also a guy, so it didn't seem to me that was an issue, but apparently it is.

Now hold on a minute. My point was more that people here don't want this space to be flooded with gay guys. I have that on the good authority of people telling me that at one point. And that makes sense, as this is a Lesbian space. (Duh.) There are many people who don't care one way or another, but some do, and I think we can do the courtesy of being out of the way for the most part. It's not a matter of exclusion, it's trying to maintain a safe space.
I apologize for this all, LG. Misunderstanding at our end. Any chance of a lock on this thread?

I thought this was a space for ALL girls who liked girls, not just lesbians.
And what about transmen who feel they belong in the women's community? And other genderqueers who don't feel comfortable just calling themselves lesbians? I'm a bisexual biofemale who is gender fluid. Does this mean I'm not welcome?
I understand if you want to fight spam, but I think that anyone who wishes to have a good discussion about girls who like girls + gaming should be welcome here.
And as for "safe space", I feel much safer in spaces where I know that diversity and difference is welcomed, rather than in spaces where people are expected to toe a certain line, whether it be their gender, sexual orienation, ideals, politics, or whatever.
Just my 2 cents.

I'd say the original post was technically on-topic, but there are other sites for gay gamers, and I think this site is intended to keep primarily to lesbian and female bisexual gamers. I think other GLBTS gaming-related events and sites can be posted, but they should be kept to a single clearly-marked post or topic on the forums to keep everything neat and clean. As far as the definition of female, I'd welcome anyone who identified as female. No panty checks from me...unless they're consensual.
