I love them. I love Hayley. She's absolutely adorable (albeit, jailbait but still adorable as hell) and has a wonderful voice. And they totally rock the house in a live performance. I have to admire them hitting it big when the eldest band member is only 22 or 23. I definately recommend them. :3

@Memoriae:
LOL yeah, she's technically not jailbait anymore but i've got quite a few years on her so yeah... man, though...i just saw them at the beginning of this month, and when she was singing the last parts of Hear We Go Again, she's crawling on the stage and i seriously thought to myself, "wow...if there was EVER a time i wanted to be a STAGE...THIS IS IT." XD
@GirlyG:
no worries! i know they have quite a few fans in Oz since they get a lot of requests to tour over there on their livejournal and myspace pages. it's kinda odd that they don't/haven't yet seeing as they've gone to both the UK and Japan a few times. *shrugs*

i wish i could have filmed/photographed it but the stupid website i got the tickets from said there were NO CAMERAS allow but as soon as i got there, there were cameras EVERYWHERE. GRR. i was so mad. oh well, i'm missing their next gig coming up next month but i'll definately hit up their next one. this upcoming one doesn't really headline them so meh...
out of sheer curiosity, which is your favorite of theirs? :3

i've been digging paramore. i'll be interested to see what the future holds for them sound-wise since they started so young.
i recently saw silverchair here in austin. they started out grunge at 15 and are now playing electro-pop a decade later. its interesting to watch the progression.

soooooooooo i just came back from Reno and the reason i dared a 5.5-6 hour trip, by myself, in a car that is in less than perfect condition for roadtripping was for...the second RIOT tour for PARAMORE, OF COURSE! XD i figured, it'd be a bit cheaper to go to the Reno show over the Vegas one so yeah.
anyways, DANG. so many teenyboppers there! my friend and i were probably part of the 10-15% of people there that weren't '___teen & under' or 'parents of said ___teen & under attendees.' i guess it's to be expected since they're a 'young' band though. i think at the end of the night, my ears were ringing not because of the loud music but because of that frequency the teens can hit while screeching/screaming for all their worth. just...oi... x_x; i mean, i don't have anything against teenagers, don't get me wrong. i guess it was just a kind of...culture shock or something. whatever. n.n;
the point is, we were all there to enjoy the music, and as usual, Hayley and the guys didn't let us down with their sound. :3 the stage set up was pretty simple this time around having no projector screens but there were PLENTY of lights. my only complaint is Nevada's okay to SMOKE INDOORS. oh my GOD, the amount of secondhand i breathed in was disgusting. i fear for my poor lungs. i took a ton of pictures with my iphone but i haven't had the chance to u/l them yet but i will.
i remember they opened with For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic, half closed with My Heart and fully closed with Misery Business. inbetween they played That's What You Get, Hallelujah (which they actually started by singing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah first then went into their Hallelujah, which i though was cool), When It Rains, Let the Flames Begin, crushcrushcrush, We Are Broken, Fences, Born For This, Miracle, Pressure and one of my personal favorites of theirs, Emergency. so yeah, pretty much all of RIOT, with some of the main hits from All We Know Is Falling. i think they did a song from another band but i didn't recognize it myself.
so yeah, much fun was had even with all the cigarette smoke invading my lungs. pictures will come later~
