Professor Layton and the Curious VilliageToday I clocked Professor Layton and the Curious Village. Hurray! What a curious village it was too. The ending sequence was pretty good, even if I did see most of it coming.
Cleared it in under 10 hours, which must be a record for me. Although it probably took me longer, since I reset the game if I used any hint coins or got the answer wrong at all. But that means I got most of the bonus stuff at the end! And I just need to find one more puzzle to have done all 120 puzzles. Argh! Last puzzle, 118, where are you!
I think this game would appeal to those who enjoyed playing Phoenix Wright games, with most of the gameplay being puzzles that test your logic, and a decent storyline to progress through and tie it all together. Quality animation, lively characters and decent voice acting. And the bonus features like building the gizmo, the jigsaw painting and furnishing the inn were nice little add ons to play with.
Haven't started Hotel Dusk yet; I guess that's next on my list of puzzle/story games.
