Real Ladies Play Horde(?)Okay, okay, I know, "Not another WoW thread," but seriously, this is something I have to know.
It's something I say often, considering most of the girls I know, gay or not, play Horde. In fact, at my GameStop, I work with all guys, and they all play Alliance, and I'm the sole girl/Horde player. The one girl we got to fill in one day from another GameStop (filled all with girls, of course) rolls Horde. My best lesbifriend loves her Tauren hunter with all the fiber of her being, I know a few undead, some Blood Elves, and my troll warrior has convinced me I am merely a troll trapped in a human's body. But for the life of me, I can't seem to find any girl (in real life, at least) who plays Alliance (or, at least isn't a Night Elf, but I encounter largely men who do that).
So, ladies, here I am. What faction do you roll with, and why? Any theories as to why this Horde phenomena exists (other than that we're hella sexy - c'mon, look at those racials!)? And for all you Alliance ladies, what have your experiences been with the faction divisions among girls? I need answers for this split!
P.S. I play on the Bleeding Hollow server, so if you wanna quest, friend Reil. I need more people to quest/hang with. Once I buy more time...

Well i havent met any fellow chickas on the server i play on at all! Let alone horde vs alliance lol. I am a quester though and dont tend to socialise with anyone outside my guild (i play with guildies from another game). We are an alliance guild and i love it. I'm thinking about making a toon on Proudmoore and would still choose alliance i think. Cant explain why...i did try horde and well i just prefer alliance lol, but there is one thing i love about horde...when their lying there dead in a pool of blood thanks to my druid hands mwuahah

Wow really? I always felt that more girls played on alliance.
I'm Horde and have been a die hard Hordie for a while. I played WC3 and I just dislike the alliance lore (or lack thereof) and races. I wasn't thrilled to play a Tauren at first (I just wanted a druid) but it grew on me. I have to say that, Lady Sylvanas for life.
I have managed to meet most of the girls on my server my side and they're all pretty cool. I havent' run into any "guild princesses." I'm a raider though so I only really talk to people I know who are hardcore raiders.

Wow, two responses from druids. That's another thing I've noticed: lots of ladies play that class. I rarely ever get to meet any other crazy melee girls like myself (I don't think there isn't any problem you can't solve with Bladestorm). I've played both as Alliance and Horde, and for a while, I was totally binging time with my human paladin, but I think one too many trips around Stormwind purged the need out of my system. I think it's just so aggravating to navigate; Ironforge is a little better, but not much. I just like being able to duck in and duck out (thanks, Orgrimmar; Undercity, not so much). I think we should also make a poll seeing how many people have suffered UC elevator death.
It's just after playing so much of the Warcraft RTS and following the lore, the Alliance strike me as land-hungry snobs, and the Horde just wants to be left alone. I mean, I totally have the gay in spades for Jaina Proudmoore, but then you have Sylvanas, and now you're really testing me. I've enjoyed playing as both sides, but I'm a much bigger quester when I roll Alliance, but all about the PvP when I'm Horde (on BGs, I'm not a douche who'll gank and camp).
Anybody else also ever have a Warcraft dream in either faction? I have. My first one was as my troll warrior on a BG, and there was all kinds of death and destruction. Then, after starting a Draenei shammy, all I did was run around Stormwind doing stuff for people (See, the place even haunts me in my DREAMS). Maybe our choice of factions can even be subconscious.

Actually, I am melee. I'm a feral tank/dps. I heal occasionally but I'm a main tank for my guild so not often. I can't really play casters in any game. The closest I've come was a ranger once.
Pretty much, I'm with you. Jaina Proudmore is fairly awesome but...Sylvanas wins hands down.
I dunno, I mean I can see why people play alliance but I'm just a Horde player at heart it never even occured to me. Also Varian Wrynn is an arse. The only thing I've ever remotely wanted to do on the alliance side was the Onyxia Attunement quest because I love Onyxia/Katrina but they removed that with WotLK so no reason to play alliance anymore. =(

haha.
My dk and mage (both 80) are both Blood Elves.
My rogue (also 80) is alliance...but it's a night elf! :-p
I'd say I prefer hoarde to be completely honest.

I've met more girls on Alliance then I have on Horde, but I've only leveled two hordies to 60, while on the Ally side I have 6 80's and a few other 70's. I also main a feral dps druid who I really just bg with, but most of my other toons are male draenei.
I play on Emerald dream and the Alliance community seems to be pretty nice. You get the token idiot player every once in a while, but overall I've had better player experience with Ally than with the Horde.
Also, aside from male tauren and male belf, I really don't like the Horde races.
