I was thinking about picking this game up, but I haven't given it a serious (longer than an hour or so) try yet. 
I might give it another try though, the dual class system looks interesting.

Cool, I'll try and download it again today  I'm embarrassed to say that I have been distracted by this kids' game Wizard101 haha. At first the gameplay was fun enough, but now the community (obviously haha) is a bit lacking so I think it's time to try something aimed more at people over the age of 12.
What type of toon are you playing? Or do you have one of each cause you're an altaholic?

lolyeah, I am an "altaholic"! My characters are.....(drum roll please)
Wyvrn -- Rogue / mage
Giles -- Knight / warrior
Marcy -- Mage / priest
Fitzfixes -- Warrior / rogue
Belovedfool -- Priest / scout
I find the game terribly sexist in many ways, not least of which is the differences between male and female costumes. I came to the game via City of Heroes (3 & 1/2 years) where I could dress my female characters rather butch if I wanted (and turned out thats exactly what I wanted!). SO since in RoM the costumes are what they are, I've ended up with all male characters......although Belovedfool has the female face for the male body, which is so bizarre!

Finally updated all the way!You'd think the game was a lot older with that kindof patching to be done!
Anyway rolled up a rogue on the Artemis server named Kiyohime (haha). Gonna take a looksee around.
I actually don't really mind the ridiculous costumes too much, but that's probably just because I watch too much anime.
Though my main game I play (World of Warcraft) isn't quite as good about allowing customization, at least if something is a thong on a female toon the graphic shows up as a thong on a male toon too haha! So if they are tasteless with their armor sometimes at least they're more equal opportunity about it hehe. But really compared to a lot of games I've played I haven't (so far, admittedly only through the starting area hehe) found the female armor to be overly bad.

I tried it before Christmas, thought it was a horrible wow ripoff with impossible controls. What has changed? :p

not much really. i dont find the controls to be too difficult. i think the things it has that are different from wow are:
it's free
and
the dual class system.
but each class is not as well-defined and unique as the ones in WOW. So, basically it has that is is free.
