well, it's explicit as they do show naughty bits but...i guess not quite as explicit as the manga either. i think out of all the couples shown, Chizuru & Shigure's was the most explicit.
...figured that Shoujo Sect deserves it's own topic. :3
there were some interesting changes, some big, some small. some of the small changes were Chikae being the one that disappears rather than Utano, their entire encounter is now a myth/ghost story of the school, Ogami-senpai shows up a lot earlier tho very briefly and Shigure is the one already in the dorm room while Chizuru enters and shuts off the lights. the only one i kinda boggled at was switching Utano and Chikae but ah well.
the one big change really is that they focus a lot more on Shinobu's feelings toward Momoko, and how she's pretty much carried a torch for her since their childhood meeting (which shows up a lot sooner as well as a reoccurring dream Shinobu has). of course, this doesn't change the fact that Kirin is already her playmate and Maaya willingly joins in. n.n;
so...not as perfect as i wanted/hoped it would be but i guess i'll take what i can get. it'll be interesting to see what they choose to do in the second and third OAVs. i can understand it's a bit difficult trying to make a story flow when there really wasn't a story flow to begin with, just 'random' encounters, but i just hope they don't switch too many things around on those that read the manga.
as a last note, i kinda wtf at the choice of using actually classical piano pieces for the sex scenes. i'm talking Moonlight Sonata and what-not. i guess it's a bit mind breaking after watching Nodame Cantabile but really...i'm just not sure. i mean, i don't want BOW CHICKA WAH WAH music either but...Pathetique for sex? just lol...

so to keep people updated who are curious about the Shoujo Sect anime, the next OAV will be out 9/25 and will feature the following character encounters:
Natiou Momoko/Hayato Kyoko
Suwabe Kirin/Yoshioka Matsuri (who has blonde hair...wtf?)
Hatoko/Kasagi Aki & Nori
i'm wondering if they're gonna skip over a few of the couples considering that if you go by the progression of the manga, there's only 3 other encounters after the 3 that i see being casted for the second OAV. sure, they are the more...'story' (and i use that term so loosely with this manga...) related ones but meh... sucks to be teased with all the other couples inbetween the 'main' encounters in the trailer to be denied in the actual media. ah well...

The trailer was better than the actual OVA... and it's funny how it was such exciting news about an anime for Shoujo Sect being made, and then it turns out crappier than the manga.
You never know, maybe they'll mix up the order of the couples?
