Shows people think you're weird for likingI have gotten into a few shows because of my mom. I would sit there watching whatever she chose (only had one TV) and usually smirked at, thinking my mom liked old funky shows. Well, I secretly started liking them and began looking forward to them. It wasn't until later that I "came out" about liking these shows and proceeded to buy the DVDs if they were available.
These are a few of them:
Golden Girls
I Love Lucy
The Honeymooners
Mama's Family (loooooooooooooovvvvvvvvveeee this show!)
What are yours?

A few years ago, i used to come home from school and my mum would be watching Passions while she cooked dinner. Somehow i got addicted and would watch it everyday after school....
It had a witch and a toy boy that came to life, its like Charmed x Pinocchio!.... ok maybe not...lol
Oh and Chinese dramas after dinner with my grandma when i lived overseas. Not that i understand chinese, but i read the subtitles.

I used to watch Passions since it first started ages ago. It was definitely weird. lol Maybe the writers were on drugs.
The Bold and the Beautiful? I'm a Days of Our Lives kinda gal myself. haha Really though, I haven't watched soaps in ages. You watch 6 shows and you've seen them all already.
What is Gossip Girl?

Sweet, I'm not the only one. ^_^ And I love Iron Chef original. I used to watch it all the time when I had cable. It was funny when they would have the guest stars cause I had no idea who they were. I remember one actress on there just seemed like a ditz and didn't know anything about food. That was a fun episode.
PS
I love old cartoons! Ain't no shame in watching cartoons ya'll. Loony Toons are classics. And I love Spider-Man TAS (the animated series) and X-Men TAS. They're still cool to me!

I used to love Legends of the Hidden Temple! and obviously Powerpuff Girls is awesome. When I'm around cable I sometimes watch Hannah Montana.

I have lengthy discussion with a best mate about the differences in quality between Americas Next Top Model and Australia's version, we're both in agreement that the American version is much better, same with Project runway.
Wed nights is junk tv night with us

Yeah, for me it'd be iCarly and Wizards of Waverly Place.

hahaha! what?? I watch it every wednesday!
Once I found myself enjoying laguna Beach, I think I realized that I'll watch just about anything, that's why I don't have cable. yet Gossip Girl, 90201, One Tree Hill, and a few more ridiculous shows have found me

Wizards of Waverly Place is the best Disney Channel show since Even Stevens.

Even Stevens is much funnier, it's like a less crude version of Malcolm in the Middle. I wonder how many people realize That Kid From Transformers got his start on that show?

Mythbusters and the History channel. my mom's really the only who thinks i'm weird for liking these but still.
Oh and Deadliest Warriors

Maz

I used to enjoy Mythbusters, but i havent really seen anything new, they keep playing old eps here once the major channel picked it up. I like Ice Road truckers and Deadliest Catch kinda shows too.

I love shows like that too. Sadly, can't watch em' anymore since I had cable cut off. Deadliest Catch was addicting.

I'm obsessed with Matlock, and it's not something I would brag about that I've seen every single episode.
(It's an old detective show from the late 80s', early 90s', starring none other than Andy Griffith.)
I also love Star Trek. I get a lot of nerd hate for that. :O
(I am referring to the original. Uhura is hot! And Captain Kirk + Spock make a great team.)

The original is good and all, the only bad thing about it is just how much of the sensibilities of the 60s come through in costume design and such.

What do you mean? As in modest, or...?
lol. I don't think they're modest, if that's what you meant. Captain Kirk's pants are pretty tight around the butt area, and Uhura's skirt is pretty short.
Haha. What did you mean?

that's exactly what I meant, the style sensibilities of the sixties (and early 70s) Uruha's miniskirt which could have come from the dressing room of Laugh-In and the boots are at least somewhat reminiscent of go-go boots very popular in that era.
However, the costumes were still better than contemporary visions of futuristic clothes. It's just, like I said, it does tend to look a bit dated.
That said it's a great show and had more than a few episodes by D C Fontana (who is awesome).

lol. It's not dated to me. I'm obsessed with the late 60s', and the 70s' and 80s'. I wish I could have grown up when my mom and dad did (b. 1964 and 1960, respectively) but then again, there was also a lot more negative social attitudes and crap going on ('Nam, Prop 6, etc.)
People weren't such sticklers either. Sometimes teachers would say, "Screw this, let's make fruit salad." I like that attitude. And that was a Chem teacher, by the way. xD
Yeah. D.C. Fontana wrote a lot of good episodes.
But to me all of them were good...

I can't believe I'm even admitting to this but I think the show Hannah Montana is hilarious. The acting is so over exaggerated that it becomes funny...me and my best friend can watch endless amounts of it and still laugh.
