I don't watch a huge amount of TV either. It seems I never have the time.
I like reality TV, but only because I find it fascinating to people watch. There is nothing stranger than people that is for sure.

Stuff I'm actively watching/trying my best to keep up with:
Journeyman (FINALLY something in SF other than Full House and Party of Five...)
Heroes (it's been a slow start for season 2 but things look like they're getting better)
House (Hugh Laurie without his accent! But still funny as hell!)
Avatar: The Last Airbender (...don't look at me like that, it's a good show!)
Stuff I want to watch but the Comcast DV-R eats it or time constraints refuse to let me but I'll still try to catch an episode here or there:
CSI: Vegas
Without A Trace
Criminal Minds
Reaper
Pushing Daisies
Chuck
Stuff I'll attempt to watch once the new season/episodes start:
Lost
Jericho
Top Chef
The L Word
South of Nowhere (Part of me can't STAND this show but...I just...CAN'T...STOP.)
Stuff I wish they had kept making:
Firefly
Drive
Iron Chef (mostly the original JP broadcast but the US version was alright too)
Spaced (I will CRY if Fox actually gets to make their US version though... UGH.)

I watch so much TV, mostly on my computer. My favorite show on right now is Dexter. I also watch Ugly Betty, Pushing Daisies, How I Met Your Mother, Dirty Sexy Money, 30 Rock, The Office, and Weeds. Sometimes I watch Nip/Tuck, but too much of it makes me feel sleazy.
I also love Buffy, Angel, and Firefly. A local theatre used to do sing-alongs to Once More with Feeling, but Fox found out and banned them .

haha...i was just about to ask if there was anyone else out there that used to be a loyal watched of buffy the vampire slayer. that was on when i was in high school. when i was just figuring out i was gay (in a conservative, sorta redneck suburb in texas) it gave me a fantastic and much needed outlet...in a town where it was in no way shape or form ok to be gay, i was still able to see a good positive example of a lesbian couple on tv. and i loved it.

I loved all the Joss Whedon stuff, too, and have them all on DVD:
Buffy
Angel
Firefly
I also have Xena and Forever Knight and the original Star Trek on DVD and used to watch Farscape and The 4000 a lot, too.
Shows I like that are currently on TV:
Blood Ties
Moonlight
I sometimes catch House and Ghost Whisperer, and sometimes watch soccer (womens or mens) or baseball.
Mostly, I just watch old, uncut, commercial-free movies on TCM. Watched the 1933 King Kong tonight--absolutely fantastic!

The same thing happened at one of my local theaters. I was bummed. I'm pretty hardcore about the Buffyverse. I'm teaching a class on Buffy and feminism at my uni next semester. Angel is good, but I have a lot of issues with it. Firefly I like, but I've only watched through it once and I'm still annoyed about Wash.

That is awesome... good on you. I'm thinking of doing a PhD in lesbian identity in popular culture, still trying to figure it out. No doubt I'd be mentioning Willow in that.
You must be adored by the students ;op

Indeed, I am. Well, it's not so much on feminism as it is on critical analysis of Buffy in general, coupled with the fact that my roommate and I are both radical feminists and thus will be orienting the class from a feminist perspective. If only we could webcast it online...

Thanks! Your proposed line of doctoral research sounds spectacularly fantastic. I hope you decide to go for it! There would have to be a whole chapter on Willow, that's for sure.

For not being a TV watcher, I sure do like a lot of TV.I'm not a big TV watcher. I don't have cable, so most of what I would want to watch, I can't watch anyway.
Heroes. Finally finished season one. Now I need to track down eps. 1 and 2 of season 2 (because they're not up on the Heroes website) so I can get caught up on season 2.
Doctor Who. This one is new. Watched all of series/season 1 of the new series. (The Ninth Doctor.) I'm totally hooked on the Ninth Doctor now. But I need to move on and start watching series/season 2 (the Tenth Doctor). And then I can watch the old Docs. (I'm lucky... I have a number of friends who are big Dr. Who fanboys so I can get eps from them if not from YouTube or P2P.)
Family Guy. It's so wrong, and so funny for it.
Simpsons.
South Park. Ditto with the being so wrong.
Who's Line Is It Anyway?
Star Trek. Voyager is my favorite, with Next Generation being special to my heart (It was my first Star Trek). I also enjoy Deep Space 9. We will not speak of that abomination they called Enterprise. (Although, I have to admit, T'Pol [or whatever the Vulcan's name was that was played by Jolene Blayloc] was SMOKIN' HOT.)
If Frasier is on, I'll watch it. I have a thing for a number of characters played by Kelsey Grammar (but not Kelsey himself or Frasier himself).
Iron Chef rules.
M*A*S*H was such a good show. I wish I could get myself into some reruns of it. Also good was Taxi and Welcome Back, Kotter!
Oh, and how could I forget! I loved Commander in Chief. I was so pissed that they fucked it over by fucking around with the scheduling of it. NO show, no matter how good, could have survived that much shuffling around. (Apparently, the first season of Commander in Chief is now available in the iTunes store. But screw DRM and the ability to only watch it on an iPod.)

I can't miss
Law & Order SVU (absolutely in love with Det. Olivia Benson, don't get my wrong Mariska is a beautiful woman, but the entire character development of Benson is what gets me)
CSI
ER
Grey's Anatomy
Brothers and Sisters

Yes yes!! Another Olivia fan! I like her the best in the first couple seasons. The last season I thought was awful, cause they had her looking so feminine. With the long hair, and clothes and...stuff. Not that being feminine is wrong...I just like my Olivia with the short, choppy hair, and the pants, boots, and layered shirts. Yay.

Yes, I'm very happy that the short haired Detective is back this season...have you ever read any of the femslash fan fiction for SVU?
|
xKiDDOx

Yes yes, of course. Haven't read too many lately, but I use to read fan fics on livejournal. Mostly Alex/Olivia stuff, but now I'm starting to like Casey/Olivia.

8. How It's Made

My favorite genres tend to be British Comedy and Science Fiction, for some reason. Suffice it to say that Red Dwarf is at the top of my list. Animation is also a big one, although I'm not much for anime per se.
Others I lurv include:
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Firefly
Harvey Birdman, Attorney-at-Law
Spongebob Squarepants
Little Mosque on the Prairie
The L Word (of course!)
Oblongs
Sarah Conner Chronicles (Let's hope for once that Fox keeps a good show on the air!)
Ranma 1/2
Mission Hill
Fairly Odd Parents
My partner is infatuated with the Buffyverse and seems to like most of Joss's stuff as well. I tend to be more of a bookphile than a TV addict... *shrugs*
