VirusLately my pc is being all f*cked up. So f*cked up that my anti-virus system doesn't work at all! Actually almost everything doesn't work but that's beside the point now... The only thing I can do is download a free anti-virusprogramme.. So I did.. But every goddamn "free" anti-virus progamme I downloaded, only scans and gives results.. If you wanna remove it you have to buy it! Now if I could afford it I would... Anywho back to the point... What I wanted to ask if anybody knows a free anti-virus programme that after it scans actually removes the infected stuff etc.? Thanks in advance!EDIT: I have tried alot of things but it seems that I have no other choice than to re-format my pc.. |

Yeah somebody already gave me that one, but it won't open the site so I can't download it.. I have no other choice than to reformat my whole pc... But thanks anyway |

you may want to reformat just in case, cause it sounds like you have some major problems, and w/o being there, it would be hard for me to clean your PC...however, you still need anti-virus software for the future... | ||||

What's the virus name? You can usually get specific and free removal tools for specific viruses. | ||||

Couldn't you in theory use a program like Team Viewer to gain remote access to her PC and try to clean it up that way? |

I had a similar problem with my wife's laptop and the free version of Mcafee worked fine. | ||||

You might want to try an online virus scanner like Housecall - I think they remove the virus for your as well: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ For free real time monitoring and protection, you can try aVast! I'm finding it pretty good and it includes real-time monitoring. AVG used to have a free version, but now they've moved onto 30 day trails of their full versions http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html Hope that helps you out.
