He was never a great governor in Texas to begin with. So my opinion. Ok, really I am off to bed now.

What I like about Oliver Stone movies about presidents is that he doesn't pull any punches but he also isn't Micheal Moore while at the same time he isn't some biographer who blows smoke up someone's ass because they're important. The Nixon movie was my favorite because he really let us see the human side of Nixon, he didn't just list off all his crimes but also showed us why Nixon commited those crimes and why he thought they were the right thing to do.
No matter what the final cut looks like the GOP will be pissed as hell because it will resemble the truth, and Lord knows they hate the truth.
Just got my California Voters guide today, the Pro side for voting on prop 8 has lovely little lies like "If the gay marriage ruling is not overturned, TEACHERS COULD BE REQUIRED (sic) to teach young children there is no difference between gay marriage and traditional marriage.".
Since when do they say anything about marriage in school? Outside of Home Economics...

this is why i'm interested in the movie. i saw the trailers, they really made me want to see the movie.
there's a french guy who made a documentary about him too and it will be released soon here. i'm less interested because i know it will be an accusing documentary, just like the others he made about french presidents.
i get why he did it (the U.S.A. have such influence on the other nations that its logical to see other countries interested in it) but im not sure the guy is familiar enough with american culture and politics to do anything relevant enough for anyone to watch.

I saw it on Saturday. It wasn't too bad at all. I don't think they could have picked a better person to play The President himself than Josh Brolin. From the makeup to his voice Josh did an awesome job. The story and plot line of course is him coming of age and living in his fathers shadow. From his college years at Yale to Governor of Texas to the White House, it mainly shows how his administration came up with certain decisions. Its an awesome movie that pokes not only the presidency but his life too.
