What webcomics do you read?Hey folks!
I love the online comics. Mostly because they're free. And also because being online feels sorta productive, even when it's not. Bonus points for comics with lesbian content.
Recently I've gotten back into Questionable Content and was pleasantly surprised to find that the new character moving into the circle is a lesbian. I have my doubts about Penelope too. She gives the old gaydar a little bit of a tickle.
Also read Lesbian Pirates from Outer Space when the site's working. Which is most of the time. Good clean 50s looking fun. Love it.
Megan Gedris' original webcomic Yume is still going too. It's off in some weird and wonderful directions these days, but I'm still enjoying it. The current artwork is really interesting. I love the colours and patterns she uses.
Even though there's no gay content I must admit to a soft spot for Control Alt Delete. Especially the new mini-strip sillies.
And though it's done and dusted I loved Nowhere Girl when it first came out. Will re-read it again soon.
And though I'm pretty sure I shouldn't enjoy it. I must admit to a soft spot for Pawn. I'm kinda hanging out to see what happens next. It's mostly fan service. But it's funny, and I find the relationship developing kinda cute.
They're my favourite ongoing comics. I also like gag comics PDF and XKCD
Hopefully a few new ones for people. They're great fun, I really recommend any and all of them. I hope that you guys can introduce me to some great new fun too =).[/url]

I love Lesbian pirates from outer space.
I used to read Head Trip too. But it's on hiatus now.
I discovered it because of Battlestar Galactica:

There's no plot and there aren't any lesbians, but it's about geeky girls.

Yay webcomics. I read quite a few, but my favorites are:
Flaky Pastry
Nobody Scores
Octopus Pie
Girly
All are insanely random.

I Was Kidnapped By Lesbian Pirates From Outer Space
Yu+Me Dream (same artist as lesbian pirates)
Flipside
Angels 2200 (done by an "honourary aussie", i.e New Zealander. winding down to end soon, unfortunately.)
Punch an' Pie (well, not -quite- "lesbian themed"... the main character is bisexual)
Khaos Komix (it has numerous character's "Stories".. the archives start with the story of the gay couple, but its worth reading regardless. Its in the middle of the lesbian storys now)
Pawn - very silly, very funny. Only bad thing about it is the artist takes literally over a year between updates.
Otenba-Files -on hiatus of late though, unfortunately.
Misfile (seperate from the rest as its more of a trans-related central issue in this one. But its leaning toward lesbianism in the current storyline)
There's also a couple i check occationally, they arnt near as good as the others though
Taiki (frustratingly slow update schedual)
Heard (havn't made up my mind yet on this one)
I also read alot of comics that have lesbian characters, though they arnt the mains usually. However they are worth reading regardless, IMO
El Goonish Shive (this one is... odd.. you either love it or hate it. I happen to love it, i think its very cute)
Something Positive (...yeah, if you read webcomics and HAVNT heard of SP, id have to ask how you've managed to keep your head in the sand )
Pennie And Aggie
Questionable Content (contains a very cute soft butch character)
Striptease (same artist as Punch an' Pie)
I think thats about it. Ive read more, but they havnt been good enough to keep me coming back.
Of course, though, I can't go without plugging my own comic *shifty-eyes*
Orange Hat Girl.. psudo super-hero lesbian.
Also, a good site to find lesbian comics is Online Comics. It has a "gay/lesbian" and "Shoujo-ai" catagories to search... the latter having more lesbian comics than the first, obviously |
There's a fairly new one too, which I'm keeping an eye on
Starcrossed
Of the others i read, which have NO lesbian content, these are my faveroutes...
Order of the Stick tabletop gaming comic
Goblins another tabletop gaming comic, though this one is from the PoV of the monsters
Girl Genius ...just.. yeah. Awsome. No words to describe it.
Minage a 3 a little early to judge yet, but its amusing so far.
Platinum Grit more awsome with no words to describe... Only bad thing about it is that it updates so slowly

Woooooooooooow thats a long list. Funny thing is, I've read most of them. (including yours)
Starcrossed looks very very good. I just wish it had more pages.

I spend a LOT of time reading webcomics. If something catches my eye, ill go through its archive and decide if its worth keeping up with
My standards of "good" webcomic have gone way up since ive been making my own, though. I have read many more, but most arn't worth mentioning, either through incomprehensible writing or terrible art

So what are this webcomics about. Game related or lesbian related or just plain comics

if you go back a page to my post with the big quote, thats most of the "good" comics that I read, and most there have a little description on what they are about.
I will read anything, from gag-a-day to fantasy serial. Though pure gaming comics frustrate me, usually cos they just copy each other, and there are SO damn many.

Comcis I honestly enjoy:
dinosaur comics
http://www.penny-arcade.com
Punch an Pie
http://www.katebeaton.com/Site/Welcome.html
PBF is good. Out of all of these I like Kate Beaton and Dinosaur comics the best. They are certainly the most consistantly good ones out there. Married to the Sea isn't bad either.
xkcd is OK when it's actually good. When it's a crappy relationship one or one which has been done or a copy of Penny-arcade (google maps instead of yahoo maps) it's not all that great.
Comics I read ironically:
CAD (there was a parody with "the end of CAD" where they predicted the miscarriage, the mary sue was neglectful of the relationship and got dumped by his GF, then got fired...It's odd that a parody would so closely predict actual recent events)

I agree xkcd isn't always good. I just love it when it is. I like some of the relationship ones, though.

Sugar Rune

Comix r too funny!

I found a couple of new webcomics to look at while I wait for updates to Goblins and Erfworld.
Roza http://www.junglestudio.com/roza/
It's a fantasy adventure with a girl as the main character, I've found it to be pretty interesting so far, and it's gorgeous to look at.
Bear & Kitten http://www.south20th.com/index.php
It's Bear and Kitten are roommates and stuff happens...I'm not sure how to describe it
The Phoenix Requiem http://requiem.seraph-inn.com/
Gorgeous to look at, very interesting story.

Has anyone checked out this http://www.mspaintadventures.com/ ? It's entirely surreal, but pretty funny in places. It's a parody of adventure games with some depression-era detectives.
