What you got?Thought it might be handy to present our hardware?
I don't keep up to date for budgetary and time reasons, but I am rocking:
Xbox (regular)
PS2
Wii
No handhelds, well, an old brick of a gameboy, but I use my hand-puter for gaming on the go.
Past machines (semi serious that is, not counting Ataris and Speccies) were mainly Commodores (64 then Amiga) but I've also had PS1, Dreamcast and N64. Not much for PC gaming as I feel the slipperly slope to joining up for a graphical MMO (I am already bogged down in text-based ones for the past decade or more) is too much of a risk. The odd round of CS or City of Heroes has been known to take place however, along with plenty of Simming.

Ok here's my rundown:
Xbox 360
Wii
PS3
Nintendo DS
Dreamcast
OH and can I also add my iTouch just because I love it so much and my Macs? lol
I am so glad you're into Simming. Have you checked out the sims castaway yet? I've been playing it this week. Not sure about it yet. Still undecided.
And I hear you with the MMO thing. I keep avoiding them because I know I'll lose my life to them lol.

Ok here's my rundown:
Xbox 360
Wii
PS3
Nintendo DS
PSP (never used anymore)
Loved the Amiga and C128.. about to perhaps replace them actually as a friend has offered to give me all her old kit.
Don't play any PC gaming.. never really saw the point.

Hey everyone
I'm strictly a PC gamer and play about 99% MMOs. (Started years ago with EQ and have played most of the biggies since then) The only single player titles I've really enjoyed were Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force and Railroad Tycoon 3.
I've thought about getting a console on occasion, but for me, it's the social interaction in MMOs that I enjoy most, so it seems best to stick with my PC.
Love the sight btw, Hope it really takes off.

Let's see, I got:
PS2
Gamecube
PSP
Used to have a PSOne, N64, Sega Genesis, and NES. Never really got into PC gaming, since I'm not a big fan of competing online. However, I do enjoy causing chaos on The Sims
|
GirlyG
|
Oh no.. you don't make them a swiming pool and then remove the ladder once they're in there do you?
I heard some people do that.. not me though.. I would never!
|
Lewill
|
hahaha I used to do that when I first started playing, but not anymore. I grew a conscience.
Now I just act out my fantasies and cause drama between neighboring families.
|
Gadget Girl
|
Lewill I LOVE your avatar. So you're a Hudson fan huh? Nice.... love Callisto.
Sorry, just hijacked the thread for that lol.
xx
|
Lewill
|
Thanks Callisto was my first obvious crush, and I've been a Hudson Lieck fan ever since!
|
Gadget Girl
|
Lewill..
Not to rub it in or anything.. but I've had dinner with Hudson a few times.. honestly. LOL
I also went to a yoga retreat which she ran...
So since you're such a big fan.. I assume you've been to a few or to some of the Xena conventions?
GG
xx
|
Lewill
|
Sadly, only one.....I really don't have the time to attend conventions, especially now.
I am a fan, I guess I was a big fan of her once, but my fandom has went elsewhere since those days.
Wow, we're getting a little off topic here. Sorry ladies
|
Gadget Girl
|
LOL, yeah we're soooo off topic. We should start our own one simply entitled Callisto LOL

I have the geekiest gaming room ever:
http://hometown.aol.com/khwitch/myhomepage/index.html
Those pics are a little out of date, I've made a few improvements since they were taken.
|
Gadget Girl
|
OMG.... that is fucking COOL! I can't believe that. Seriously, I bow down to you. I thought I was geeky, but a goddamn spaceship in your basement!!! And you did it yourself? All hail you!!! Awesome. Thanks for sharing!
|
Margali
|
I'm glad you like it
I plan on updating that page some time, as I've added many small details since those pics were taken, its kind of a permanent work in progress. Adding more blinky lights and switches, and such. I got a couple rolls of silver matalic tape and just stuck it everywhere. I found a few odd shaped plastic boxes and made little cargo containers and other props. That sort of thing. My partner is very cool, she ever bought me a red flight suit to go with it.
When I have to have Comcast in to work on the motems or what ever, they always bring extra "helpers" to see the ship. One time I had 5 of them here at the same time, All of them women too... go figure.
I used to be a bit hesitant about sharing that with people because it's just so geeky, but I think it's good to be a geek. My geek side kind of balances out my freak side, so I think it all averages out to make me "Cool"

Gadget Girl

Geeks rule!!! Are you kidding me!!
Me and my girl had two cupboards fully kitted out to perfect dvd shelf size and just loaded them up with games and dvds. Everyone loved it. When guys came to the house to fix stuff they'd look on in awe. We bought a full home cinema (8X6 ft screen and projector) with our house settlement cheque LOL.
It's alllll good. You have to embrace that geek side.
I can't wait for the updated photos!

SNES
Game Gear
GBA
N64
PSX
PS2
Gamecube
Xbox

I recently traded in my Xbox towards 360, but everything else I still own. I use the PS2 and 360 the most. Although I will get my SNES out from time to time and play Super Mario World or Kirby.

My consoles:
PS2
Gamecube
I sold my N64 and PSOne and the games for them cause I needed money. I kind of wish Mario Kart 64, but I'm living.
Portable:
PSP
Gameboy color (hardly use it anymore)
And I use my PC for WoW and Oblvious, and occasionally Black and White. Overlord was really fun, albeit short, though.
Though my favorite is my Playstation. I love a lot of the series on there. Especially Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank. And Guitar Hero (since I hate XBox games..yeah i know.. I prefer my PS2 GH).

I've got a Power Mac 1.25 GHz running OS X 10.3.9 which can also boot into Mac OS 9, for older games. For my really old games, I still have a Power Mac 6100 (from 1994) running Mac OS 8.
My partner has my (medium) old Power Mac G4 500, also running OS X 10.3.9 or Mac OS 9, but she often uses my machine because some of her games need a faster machine with the better graphics card.

Some of them are sadly in a box, stored away for now but I still have them!
Console/Handheld
NES
Super Nintendo (for the times I need to beat Chrono Trigger...again.)
Gameboy (I...think it still works...)
Nintendo 64
Nintendo GameCube
Nintendo DS Lite
Sega Dreamcast
Sony Playstation
PC
AND Athlon 64 FX-60 Dual Core 2.6GHz
2gb memory
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX
5.1 Surround
I used my MacBook to play WoW a few times but I was kinda sick of the game by them so it's mostly my school work machine now. <_<;
I'm still undecided as to whether I want to get a PS3 or 360 but I know I definately want a Wii. And I'll probably pick up a PS2 still as well since they're fairly cheap now and even Japan is still releasing games for it. <_<; Maaaaaybe a PSP later on...they've finally gone down in price a good chunk too.

Get an Xbox!!! Don't go down the PS3 route yet. There's just not enough games out there yet on it and there's not as thriving an online community. I highly recommend getting the Xbox!

I have an Xbox 360 and Wii. I love the 360. It's the only console with Bioshock, and is going to be the only system to get Mass Effect and Fable 2. I use my Wii mainly for multiplayer and party games, but now that I have two guitars, I'm almost exclusively on my 360.
The PS3 seems like a good system, but there just aren't many exclusive games for it that pique my interest. Maybe I'll consider one when more games come out and the price goes down.

Yeah, the whole 'not as many games for the PS3 yet' thing is definately a vote in the 360's direction. I'll likely be getting one before I get a PS3 but the Wii has the highest priority of them all. XD

iMac G4 1gHz, 1.25 gigs of ram

Palm Tungsten E2
Can I bitch about the lack of games for the Mac? Plz? I'd far rather just solely stick with my Mac, but a ton of my games aren't native to it. (Yeah, I could emulate, or try to scrape up some cash for an IntelMac and run Winblows on there [but, ugh, UNHOLY!]... but I'd rather not.) Including anything on Steam (Team Fortress, HL/HL2, TF2, etc.) and City of Heroes/City of Villains, which I'd love to play but haven't gotten around to playing yet.

I know what you mean! The thought of having to use Windows is bad, but putting it on my Mac? Ugh! Luckily, I have been able to get enough good games for my Mac that I don't even have time to play most of them (I am a Diablo II addict, but also play RPGs and Warcraft III a lot, plus have hundreds of others). Still it's painful to really want a particular game and to know that it will almost certainly not come to the Mac. Sometimes there's a nice surprise, though, like when Freedom Force was ported to the Mac.
Have you checked into shareware? There are many companies that offer all sorts of Mac games:
Spiderwebsoftware
Macjoy
pangeasoft.net
among others;
plus there's Macsoftgames and Aspyr which port a lot of games to the Mac, and Blizzard, that makes Mac versions of its games (like Diablo II LOD, yay!)..
and also there are distributors:
gamehouse.com (make sure to check it from your Mac or it sends you to the Windows games)
macgamestore.com
Also, for boxed games, check out gogamer.com and interactcd.com
