Is xfire... secure? I can't remember where I heard it from and don't know how much truth there's to it; but somebody said people can get hacked through xfire easily? I don't have much to lose but I don't want to lose anything either! :S

Could you elaborate? I actually used to work at Xfire, so maybe I can help you out on that, or at least ask one of my former coworkers some technical questions. Xfire itself has no spyware. They don't spam you with email as their mailing list is completely opt-in.

Hrmm, well, I probably read it off a forum for Guild Wars (Guru most likely, could be GWO). Some completely, totally random person also PMed me through that forum asking whether I had an xfire account quite a while ago... so I never got one. Oh well.

So I just bought a mic this morn (as my LC guildies were pestering me) and u can use it through Xfire. Its brilliant! After a bit of stuffing around cause im a techno noob (didnt have the mic box ticked der) we now pwn mobs whilst chatting.
So yeah if ur reluctant to get xfire here's another reason to give it a try.

PC games through xfireHey, I have xfire too and I'm always happy to play some multiplayer PC games with people. My user name is AKIRA (hakuza) whatever shows up... but always looking for a multiplayer friend! Anything from FPS to RTS.
