I haven't heard anything about the books that people mentioned.

One of my favourite (lesbian) books is Fingersmith by Sarah Waters.

Rubyfruit Jungle by Rita Mae Brown is kind of the classic lesbian novel. My mom bought it for me right after I told her that I was gay.

Your mom sounds really cool! Yeah I've read that also when I was a lot younger and I remember enjoying it to. I think you're right about it being the lesbian classic book to read.

I'm lazy, my books aren't that far away and I can't get up off my ass to look and suggest some. Forgive me all, it's a lazy Friday night for me and I've eaten too much Indian food to move hahahaha

My mother is pretty awesome, it's true. RFJ is surprisingly kinky considering that it's a bit more mainstream than most lesbian fiction.

Thanks! I wish I had a kodoma plushie! I've got a phone charm, a glow in the dark figurine and a weird little music-box thing, but no stuffed kodama. I actually also really like your avatar. I like to think that Natsuki and Shizuru ended up together, even if Natsuki claimed she was straight.

It's quite a lovely lil' plushie. :3 Originally, I bought it not only because I liked kodama but because my friend thought they were creepy...so I'd chase after her while making it rattle. XD Oh yeah, along with the jiggling, it actually has a little rattle in it as well! Totally forgot about that...shame on me.

Amusingly enough, it was a second choice (usually I'd use this one but it was over 8kb. n.n; But as for Natsuki and Shizuru, in later novels and the anime artbooks, it was heavily suggested that their relationship deepened much more after Shizuru's graduation. It also helps that she sent Takeda a rejection note, saying that there was someone else's feelings she needed to accept. Hint hint, nudge nudge. ;3 Of course, 'relationship deepened' can be taken many a ways, much like how Natsuki saying that she loves Shizuru, just not the same way Shizuru loves her can be taken many ways. It's all rather ambiguous but I don't think it's completely unreasonable to think that something more than friendship grew from what they had at the end of the series. I'd like to think that Natsuki accepted that Shizuru had such feelings, and while she could quite return the lust aspect, she couldn't really deny that Shizuru was indeed very special to her, thus could never really reject her.

...unless, of course, if you're talking about MANGA Natsuki, who is as straight as a laser line and after Tate. Ugh. n.n;

*considers just making a ShizNat speculation post somewhere to avoid further off topic-ness* n.n;

Uhh...to be somewhat on topic, here's a link to a webcomic I read, Khaos Komix, which features a lesbian coupling (though their story hasn't been finished yet) amongst other GLBT couplings.

Ooh ooh, ShizNat thread! There was this artist on Live Journal that I use to look at her fan art all the time. Jango Joe or something like that? Her art was amazing! We should have a thread we can post pics in and stuff. Yay!

Ah, Jango Joe/sights_alined/Lang? Ha ha, amusingly enough, she's dating/engaged to my ex. <_<; But yes, her art is quite awesome. I'll start up that thread then. XD
