I used to be a California resident (and will hopefully be returning there soon) so as soon as I heard this I called up friends and family and just freaked out! AMAZING! Massachusetts and California FTW!

I didn't think of Mass. as such a big deal because who wants to get married there, really? Here in California we have wonderful beaches, mountain resorts, a beautiful desert, historic missions, San Fransisco (if you've never visited this city I recommend it, it's freaking awesome! I love the montery bay aquarium personally), Sacramento, Death Valley, Napa Valley etc.

Sure Massachusetts is all old and you can have your services performed by Benjamin Franklin but I think CA is much better.

California might be beautiful but in the fight for civil rights every state counts! I'd rather have both states than just California you know what I mean?

I'd rather have the whole freaking country but if we use legalization of inter-racial marriage as a judge some states won't come around until 40 years from now, and even then only begrudgingly. Isn't it just insane how long it takes for a nation founded on the principal that it should be self-evident that all humans are created equal to actually live up to that statement? Already the devices which drive the representative democracy are starting to break down and we haven't even come close to ending bigotry.

I'd rather have the whole world! I'll probably never live to see it, though... *sigh*
