I loved Monstrous Regiment, even though it got kinda predictable once you worked out what was going on... Don't think I could pick a favourite character - Death, Vimes, Nanny Ogg, Susan, Anoia, Cut-Me-Own-Throat, Dibbler, Vetinari...? Goblin Quest by Jim Hines. One of the funniest books I've ever read! Also love Kim Harrison's The Hollow series. And I just started The Vampire Earth books by E. E. Knight. Really like them so far.
