Grand Theft AUTO: Chinatown Wars. I saw that on our marketing for this past Sunday. It's been put up. But, what the hell. Seriously for DS. Are you that crazy. I mean Its basically saying its okay for a kid to play a mature game. Nintendo has nothing else better to do. It's basically making retarded games. Like your actually going to see a kid buy Quit Smoking on DS. Ha, that would be a good laugh. It's just DS Games are easy to make so thats why you have a bigger selection to buy. But, I just think Nintendo is doing it just for the money. I aslo saw a Wii game called Calvin Tuckers Redneck Jamboree ha, I just won't say more.
I especially love the RP rating hahah
So like um.. Does anyone want to go to your local gamestop and reserve Grand theft for DS. It's only 5 bucks.

But... Nintendo isn't making these games...
3rd party companies are free to make whatever they like for whatever consoles they wish. It's a matter of Nintendo's platforms supporting much simpler software and reaching a wider audience. Nintendo is attracting the shovelware because its' systems are popular and easy to develop for.

Who designs these games???? Are you freakin' serious?? Though, I love that these games aren't even blips on anyone's radar 'cause I haven't seen any articles or reports about how politically incorrect both of these games are. LOL
Yes, world. Blizzard NA can start up a 'scandal' about a lesbian in-game guild or several years back, GTA was flagged because its violence and use of drugs, sex and foul language. See how we've progressed? GTA for kids and Redneck games. It's a beautiful life.

I don't care much about the Nintendo Wii or Ds. My Wii was a waste of money it's just basically collecting dust. I know 3rd parties make those games. But, nintendo is putting their name on it. But, What im saying is, that it's so easy to make a game and put a price on it and just sell it to kids. I just don't think some of those games should be for kids. I know adults play some of the games, but they're usually getting the puzzle games. I wouldn't want to tell a customer that nintendo is a kid based game when some of the new games coming out are M rating.
Like really An E Rating for everyone.

Since when are all games for childen?
The problem here is with the common stereotype that DS and Wii are platforms for children... when in reality, they are machines perfectly practical and enjoyable for ANYONE to use.
Believe it or not, in Japan, more than half of DS owners are ADULTS. We have dictionaries, bartender guides, classic literature collections, kanji trainers, mature horror adventures, witch-titty-touching games, gay love simulations, games where girls wash the sweat off of boys in bathhouses, cookbooks, music-simulators... whatever you want, it exists and a lot of it is useful.
That's what ratings are FOR. It isn't the game developers fault that parents and some retailers can't learn to use the rating system or be bothered to pay attention to what they buy their own children.
Should we not make Rated R films because children rent them for slumber parties? Because they DO and they have ever since video rental shops have existed.
Yes, there are a lot of silly games and shovelware... but I hardly think it's Nintendo's fault for thinking that, perhaps, games aren't just for children and that it isn't their role to censor the medium... just to see what pans out.
