Jade Empire *
Oblivion
Morrowind
Fallout
Fallout 2 *
Arcarnum
Vampire:TM Bloodlines *
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2
Neverwinter Nights 2
Spellforce
All RPG's, as thats my niche, and all games that i have played as a female character and finished. Some (as indicated with * ) even contain a measure of "lesbian" content, be it seducing female characters for a feed (i.e Bloodlines) or as a PC-Follower romance option (i.e Jade Empire) |

Good ones!
How could I have forgotten the No One Lives Forever Games? With Kate Archer!
It seems like there are at least some with only female play characters, and quite a few with the option to play female without restriction (or much restriction, anyway) compared to the male characters.

Were those any good? I remember seeing them in the stores and I was curious about them. Are they worth playing?
BTW, did anyone mention Alice? I never played it, but isn't it a horror game where you play as Alice from Alice in Wonderland, only homicidal? _________________

Yes, they were good, but...
They are shooters (but with a strong storyline) and rather difficult in places, so keep cheat codes handy,
and the Mac version of NoLF2 had a refresh rate bug. I don't know if it was fixed.

They have Mac versions? Even better!
(I only got into Macs in the past year and a half.) _________________

Baldurs Gate
Baldurs Gate 2
(both PC RPG's)
Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance
Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance 2
(console RPG's) |

| Quote: | | I believe in Dreamfall, at some point, you do play a male character |
In The Longest Journey (prequel to Dreamfall), you just play April. In Dreamfall, you do have a couple brief sequences where you play the male character (forget his name, but he's one of the Azadi), but for a majority of the game you play Zoe, and to a lesser extent the same April from the first one. It's probably also worth mentioning that The Longest Journey even had a lesbian couple appear briefly. They own the boarding house April is staying in during the first game.
Other games that have female protagonists that I don't believe were mentioned include:
-Wizardry 8 (has option for male or female characters)
-Eternal Darkness (main character is female, but there are two or three brief sequences where you play a male character)
-Silent Hill 3 (someone mentioned the series as a whole, which does have a lot of female characters, but the third is the only one so far that you play a female character in)
-Primal
-Animal Crossing (has option for male or female character)
Honorable Mentions:
-Drakengard (has a male main character but you have the option to play a female elf later)
-Numerous fighting games that have female characters you can play
-Twisted Metal series, which has at least one female character (the goth girl) you can play.
-Most MMOs these days allow you to play female characters
-The Sonic Adventure games where part of the game requires playing Amy
-Sonic Riders where you can unlock female characters to play. Don't remember if you start out with the option to play females. |

| Thought I'd also mention this one, since no one brought it up. Don't know if anyone noticed, but the main character in Portal is actually female. If you look at yourself through a Portal, you can see that you are in fact a female character. |
