I've always been really fond of my PS2, and never thought of purchasing a next generation console until the prices had dropped quite drastically. However, last weekend I got some extra money before my paycheck, and I had to face the fact that the new Batman game would be coming out quite soon for XBox or PS3. (Same as the game WET). So, I decided to take the jump and buy an XBox since they are a tad cheaper than the PS3, and I didn't find the blueray feature for PS3 to be a big difference to me since I don't have any blue-ray discs.
I bought GTA along with it because I was a complete Vice City junkie, and I had recently hopped back into playing San Andreas. I am already quite addicted to it, but I was wondering what other games are popular or a good choice to buy? I basically play anything, from sports like NBA Live, Tony Hawk, to GTA and to DDR and Guitar Hero. I'm also a huge Final fantasy addict for the games I have played on the PS2.
Not looking for any games that need other accessories right now, (like GH or DDR) because I can't afford that currently. So far I'm looking into buying Ninja Gaiden II, possibly Fable II and wouldn't mind another shooter of some sort.
I have loved the intense graphics so far on GTA, and I'm quite enthralled with the purchase I made because it's so addicting so far.
As for the console itself, I noticed the fans can make quite a bit of noise and the disc drive, but I've read around the internet that it's just how they are. I've also read about the RROD but I'm not too worried about it. Mostly, I just want to know what games are the best on the console since I'm so new to the XBox world.

Thanks!
I was looking into Bioshock and Gears of War(many of my friends have played these), I just hadn't decided on which one to buy. I have to buy a lot of the games one at a time because I have to pay rent and other things which limit my ability to buy more games.
Prototype and Assassin's Creed looked pretty nice, too. Oy, choices choices. I can't wait for the FFXIII to come out, though. The graphics are stunning on so many of the newer games, I'm just so excited! haha |

Prototype is really fun. I also recommend Fable II. _________________ LastFm

My favorite games are Let 4 Dead, Fable II, and Mirror's Edge. Assassin's Creed is fun too, although I still have to beat it. _________________ The Angels have the Phonebox. |

she stated she wanted to buy another shooter and altho some mentioned gears and l4d why the hell nobody mentioned halo is beyond me. yes it's that obvious and i'm sure she knows that too but sometimes the most obvious is always the the one that ppl missed. so HALO, the entire series or start with ODST when it comes out since it's a separate story and only hints at few events in halo3 w/c won't ruin the plot for HALO proper.
btw i'm a straight guy and based on yer avatar (if it's somewhat of an accurate representation of yerself) then i ask this: are ye cute or hot?
p.s. any hot gothchix wanna rockn'roll? |

Ahhh, forums, for the people who don't fit in anywhere else so find somewhere where they can't fit in EVEN MORE.
And the people who actually just wanna have a nice chat.
Although Halo is pretty good, I must say, especially if you like the storyline. But I'd throw The Orange Box in the ring for the sheer amount you get for your money.
