Hello,
Not really sure where to start, but here goes...
Having recently gotten exceptionally frustrated and annoyed at the bigotry and what not online from gamers, I decided I wanted to look for a site/community that is well friendly. I stumbled upon this site, and well figured this looks like a really good place, as a queer woman who gets made fun of for it on the various games I p lay. (You know, the general how old are you? People thinking I am a kid, being dumb in general, etc etc.) And really not knowing any other queer women who game, I figured I may as well join.
A bit more about me, I am a 24 year old currently residing in the middle of no-where Ohio, though at the end of the month will be moving to northern Virginia or Colorado, depending on whether I get a job (I hate the economy) or I am stuck moving back in with my parents.
As for the kind of games that I like, I generally like multiplayer/online games(Just not most of the people on them), and tend to like most genre's. Though primarily I am a fan of RPG, FPS and RTS's. Right now mostly what I am playing is the Heroes of Newerth Beta (DOTA[War III mod] Clone), TF2, and L4D. I used to play a lot of WoW, but that having consumed most of my life (And me having way too much of an addictive personality), I have long since quit.
Also, I am big into game development and modding. I have started up my own game development company (Experimental Cork), and have so far managed to release one game, Ebb, with it. I am also currently working on developing a tf2 custom map, which is an attack/defend capture the flag, ctf_bayou
Didn't mean to make it this long. :/ Anyways, I look forward to getting to meet people on here, and if anyone want to play anything on steam, or chat or what not my profile is here.

Hey hey heyyy. Game development and modding? awesomely awesome. Most deffinately  .
I dont play much on the pc anymore but seeing the new cryengine demo i almost peed my pants. I see myself retreating back into the world of pc gaming soon i think. If you have xfire let me know. |

I did not have xfire, but given that part of my visit here is to meet new people I have just downloaded it. Though not entirely sure what to do with it (Except as another IM client I guess) Anyways, my name on xfire is Caelrin.  |

Yeah, I can see how RTS's can do that... They did for me for quite a while, and then I dunno about a year ago they just started clicking. Though, I have to say I mostly play them because of all the fun mods/maps that come out of them, and they are the biggest source of TD's out there. 
And that sounds good, I look forward to chatting with you/being mocked. |

Welcome! There used to be an IRC channel for this place ages and ages ago but it wasn't very active since we're all from different time zones and stuff.
How did the bigots find out you're gay, though? Everyone else just automatically assumes that I'm male and straight until I tell them otherwise, and by then they'd know my personality well enough to see that lesbians can be "normal", too. Yeah, normal in quotes.

LOL being mocked. OH not u said it now. Xfire is pretty much a chat client but the your profile stores a lot of history and u can publish screenshots etc etc. Also, the chat client works in game so u dont have to minimize to talk. Its just convinient. ill add you. Im pookieisgay just so you know haha.
