I do not own a PS3 myself and i don't plan on buying one anytime soon. It is way too expensive and i couldn't even use it on my current TV-Set so i would have to buy a new TV for it as well. I also do not care for any of the games available on it right now.
Or so i thought...
Well, last week i visited a friend who's got a PS3 and i played Heavenly Sword for the first time. Very unfortunately for me i totally loved it. I was especially amazed about the fantastic Characters, the acting, the voice acting, everything ! And i fell in love with Narikos friend Kai ! She is one of the most adorable characters i ever saw in any game ever ! Damn, i need to have this game ...
Oh well, it's out of the question right now so i will just wait a few years till the PS3 has dropped in price and buy it then. By that time the Sequel will surely have arrived as well. A Sequel that will hopefully come. I read that the sales were not too great for the game

| Yup, the voice acting in Heavenly Sword is indeed some of the best gaming characterisation ever. It is outstanding and Kai and Nariko are amazing characters. On our front page you'll notice Nariko is our cool gaming chick and that we did an interview with the developer of Heavenly Sword too. It is definitely worth getting a PS3 for though lol. |

Argh, i saw this, but had no time to read it at the time and then i frogot about it  But i read it just now ! Here are some comments

Sad, but true. I think it is indeed more risky to choose a female lead over a male, because adolescent males still make up a vast portion of the target audience for action games. Or as some Idiot in the Gamespot Forum for Heavenly Sword dismissively wrote: "Who wants to play a girl ?" Yes, he is an Idiot, but sadly he has many Idiot Friends who think just like him.
"We haven't announced anything as yet but I can confirm that when we wrote the original story we did write it as a trilogy..."

concerning Nariko and Kai, i can only hear Yahtzee's review of Heavenly Sword on Zero Punctuation and him saying...
"We may need to you play twing twang later. My first thought was 'I'm so going to quote that out of context.' Then again, it doesn't make much sense IN context. ...Of course, I'm going to be incredibly disappointed if 'twing twang' isn't a cute euphemism for lesbian cunnilingus. YEAH, I WENT THERE."

i've watched my friend play HS quite a bit and it does have it's shiny bits, it does look like it gets a bit repetitive as far as gameplay, at least while playing Nariko. but yeah, if you get them, be sure to watch the making of videos you get. Andy Serkis, better known as Gollum of LotR, put more than just his voice into the game and helped train the other actors both with their voice and facial expressions for the movement capturing. i admit, the game is pretty as hell but for me, it's not the sparkling diamond that tips the scale towards my getting a PS3 over a Wii or 360.

not for me. my tv is too old for the ps3 so i would have to buy a new one as well. that's a LOT of money to play one game i understand why sony would never port the game to the xbox, but they could at least port it to the PC. that would be great |
