Doctor Who is brilliant! I never watched the old series, but I am totally hooked on the new series.
I personally prefer Tennant to Ecclestone, but I believe that is beacuse he has longer to grow on me. I also love the way he can be so funny, yet so dark at times too...I'm looking forward to the new season!
I am also a fan of Torchwood - now! It has taken a whole season to grow on me though...but so far so good the new season is a lot more thrilling and exciting! I enjoy the fact its darker than Who, and there is a bit more adult content. I've heard rumours about where the end of the current season may be going, and I'm unsure about that - but all we can do is wait and see!

There was a new trailer for Doctor Who on BBC1 last night! I am so excited! Martha! Rose! Yay!!
David Tennant is my straight boyfriend..
This season of Torchwood has been good, apart from the odd episode (the cinema one in particular). Last weeks BBC3 ep was ace (with the disappearing boy). |

| So I hear the companion next season will be the runaway bride- is this true? Not sure how I feel about that really. I guess that actress is pretty famous in the UK? I'm afraid I haven't seen any of her stuff though. |

Yeh, she's called Catherine Tate.
She's sort of famous here, she has a 'comedy' sketch show, but not everyone finds it very funny (including me).
I'm v skeptical about her, I can't imagine her being good.. but I love the show so much I'm going to watch it all anyway, even if it does mean spending hours on the internet after every episode slagging it off lol.
I thought it would be crap after Rose left, but it wasn't, so who knows? It might not be *too* bad.. |

I just adore Doctor Who. Tennant was my first doctor - watched the Christmas Invasion whilst sitting in a hotel room in London and after that I was hooked.
I am loving the new season. I thought I wouldn't like Donna (Catherine Tate) as I found her character really shouty in the Runaway Bride, but they have toned her down. I find that her character plays brilliantly off the Doctor. Donna has no romantic interest in the Doctor and it makes a welcome change from the doe-eyed Martha. Donna takes no crap from the Doctor and the interplay between the two of them is just hysterical.
I am way too excited about the news that Steven Moffat is taking over from Russell T Davis for the next series. Moffat's Who episodes are just amazing and to have him writing more and in charge of the creative direction is going to be fabulous. It is just annoying that after this season we will have to wait until 2010 to see any more new episodes. _________________ Dancing About Architecture - Blogging Just Got Queerer. |

We'll have to wait till 2010 for a new season - but there are 3 stand alone episodes next year which will be Russell's (and possibly David's) last.....

Totally agree.
Blink was one of the scariest (and best, IMO) ep's to date. The 2 parter he did this season (Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead) wasn't as scary, but was still brilliant.
I'm dying to see the finale _________________
