As I've told most people who know me, thoughts of Dune occupy at the very least 10% of my waking hours every day. I'd be interested to know the opinions of the membership of this site of the series. I personally find that (especially in the later books) the series is overflowing in positive female characters, and that it is overall an excellent series.

I really liked dune but then got stuck after the first two or three sequels. I may go and check them out again though, it's been a while!
