Hi I'm a Glaswegian geek that lives in Kent (England).
I currently own the Xbox 360, PS2, GameCube and the DS and am currently thinking about getting the Wii, but i'm not sure, so if anyone could present a good argument as to why I should actually purchase I would be grateful.
I love the site and think its great to have a Lesbian perspective/Community for Gaming as all my gaming friends are Straight men and perspectives differ slightly
I have to say Gay Girls Who Game VLog rocks its nice to hear a Scottish accent now and again _________________ Live Long and Borgasm as Resistance is Futile |

It took me quite a while to understand what they were saying. But then I did and I was like "oh cool" |

Welcome! I have a Wii and love it- not only because I love all things Mario and Zelda, but because it's really a unique experience with the controller. It's also a good console if you want to play with a bunch of people (My friends and I have had many a Mario Party challenges).. If you want any more arguments just let me know- I love defending the Wii.
I also understand having all of your gaming friends be straight men- that seems to be my life!

Now that's odd, because I'm an English geek living in Scotland. I knew I couldn't be the only person who loves Tracy's accent - the internet's a big place, and both the Scottish and lesbian gaming parts are so small. I Like you, all my gaming friends are, as far as I know, straight. There mostly guys too - apart from my sister, that is. Welcome! _________________

Hi! *wave*
Yea, I seem to have all but gay girl gamer friends before this site o.o
As for the Wii, I agree with Xanadugrrl on the Mario and Zelda games (Galaxy, SSBB, Paper Mario, LOZ: TP), first party games are pretty solid titles overall...
Party games are very awesome with the Wii (Rayman, Mario, Warioware, Big Brain Academy)... it's backwards compatible with your Gamecube stuff (You can use your GC controller on some games)... There is also the Virtual Console in which you can download older Nintendo games (priced depending on console, and depending which ones they've put up there... most of the popular ones are up).
Anyhoo, that's my shpeel, thanks for listening XD |

Near Edinburgh, m'fraid, but they talk more like Weegies here. There must be some historical reason for it. Never been to Kent, but I imagine that if you were used to Glasgow you would miss it. _________________
