Hey everyone!
We love that you're all having so much fun in the forum and spending time hanging out and chatting and thank you soooo much for that.
I wondered how many of you guys read the articles and posts on the main Lesbian Gamers page and if you do would love to beg right here and right now for some comments on them.
We want to heighten lesbian visibility in gaming and having an active comments section is always a good thing! Feel free to comment as often as possible.
Thanks soooo much guys!
Tracy

| Agreed, if not for this site and its members I would have just assumed that Lesbians only liked to play croquet for fun. |

I've been commenting on the blog posts for months (when I see something that I feel the need to comment on), and had wondered why, with such active forums, there hadn't been many comments on the main site from the folks here.
Everyone should leave comments on the blog posts. Go on, you can do it! _________________

I do read the main blog and articles regularly, except I haven't heard of half of the games and can't watch Gay Girls who Game since I'm stuck with non-unmetered bandwidth atm. I'll try to leave comments more often! _________________ Vickie

Heyyyyyyy,
Well we are just over the moon that you are all enjoying the forums so much and finding that they're a great place to call home. We try to pretty much leave you guys to it as we know you're all big grown ups who can take care of yourselves ;op
Anyway, we do need you and this is a shout out for some help! Yes, we need more comments on the main page, something that I've been blabbering on about before!
It would extremely awesome if some of you guys could start leaving some comments over there now and again as it looks really good to the publishers and it would be great to let them see just how much we lesbians love gaming.
Thanks guys and we hope you're all enjoying the site and that you're catching our weekly video show about gaming on afterellen.com
Peace

It's great that you're over the moon, but it would be nice if you guys could find the time to participate in these forums you created. Or moderated some. I can understand if you're busy, but you could possibly make one or two long-standing members moderators so we CAN "take care of ourselves". Also, it doesn't breed loyalty if you don't want to be part of the community you helped create.
I don't really keep up on LGamers.com because I can't create an RSS feed for the posts. I can on LGeek.com though and once anything catches my eye I try to comment. But I'm really here for the gaming as comics and anime aren't my thing. And since I get my videogame news through RSS feeds from Joystiq, etc, there doesn't seem to be much point to visiting LGamers.com to manually scroll through the posts to see if something interests me. You can call me lazy, but I work a full-time job and I game every day and that leaves little time to keep up-to-date with all my online stuff as well.
Kudos on creating the site and forums for all the lesbians, nice snags on the domains, but I don't think you guys are capitalizing on all of the potential. Perhaps because it's just the two of you(?)... maybe you guys should expand. _________________ Candice | Nietha.net | Kiaya Skylark on GW | *Nietha on D2 USWest

I agree that it may be a good idea to consider making a couple of people moderators, and I agree that the site owners should be participating in their community -- though I wouldn't have put it in the same way as you did.

What are you talking about? There is an RSS feed for Lesbian Gamers: http://lesbiangamers.typepad.com/lesbian_gamers/index.rdf I certainly wouldn't be reading the blog if it didn't have an RSS feed.

I think they're actually doing a great job capitalising on the potential of this site, considering it's just the two of them. It's a no small achievement to have a weekly vlog on a huge site for gay women like After Ellen. They're reaching a fairly mainstream gaming audience through the vlog, I imagine, and I think it's a great introduction for the After Ellen crowd. It's possible that the After Ellen audience may even become interested and start reading the Lesbian Gamers blog and start posting on the forums. _________________

Thanks for the link, I greatly appreciate it. Apparently it's only an option when you visit lesbiangamers.typepad.com and not lesbiangamers.com. Lesbiangamers.com doesn't have an RSS icon on my Firefox, and I get no results when I CTRL-F for 'rss' or 'feed'. I don't know why it'd be different, they should look into that.
As for the vlog, that is definitely cool but I've only seen about half a dozen as there's always something I'd rather be doing than dedicating 20-30 mins to watch a video online. It's a shame because I really do enjoy them. Maybe once I get my coveted iPhone I can download them and watch them on my commute... _________________ Candice | Nietha.net | Kiaya Skylark on GW | *Nietha on D2 USWest

The typepad address is hidden inside the frame of lesbiangamers.com. I think it'd be nice if they'd point or redirect the domain to that instead.
And while I probably wouldn't quite put it the same way as Nietha did either, I do share her sentiments. I vote for having more (active) mods at the forums as well. _________________ Vickie
