I know the original Starcraft is over 10 years old now (which in turn makes me feel old), but it's still a classic RTS game full of love and awesomeness and more importantly, Starcraft is still the game of Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades, origins and therefore one of the best PC games in the world.

Regardless, with Starcraft II on the horizon (can I just say 'zomg FINALLY?') is anyone here as excited as I am?  Seriously, I finally got around to watching the Zerg release trailer for the game and I'm a fangirly mess over it.  Kerrigan is just AWESOME and the game is just gorgeous looking so far and no signs of an irritating hero system and unit cap.

I'm sad and contemplating taking a week off of work when the game comes out so I can just immerse myself in it and play it obsessively xD;   Actually after watching the trailer I'm itching to play some good old Brood Wars so if anyone who plays wants to arrange some games on battle.net let me know. Very Happy

Anyway, all hail Starcraft (and I don't just say that because I'm Korean.)

I've never played Starcraft but after watching a few of the trailers and seeing some of the screenshots it looks pretty cool.  The only RTS game I ever played was Red Alert and only because a few mates at work played it (we would hook up online after finishing our late shifts at around 2am and go for a few hours).  Is Starcraft similar to Red Alert?

In the original starcraft (which I just started playing through again funny enough) I got all sad when Kerrigan got kidnapped by the overmind and 'fiddled with'.  I was all 'Noo, it's not really you any more Kerrigan, you aren't true to who you really are, they changed your identity.. fight it...' before collapsing in to a sobbing heap.

She was all concerned for the civilians before the change, but after that she didn't care at all, about anyone.  So sad.. *sniffle*

I am verrrry excited about StarCraft II. First heard of it at last year's Video Games Live, and almost had a heart attack. It's one of my favorite, if not my favorite, RTS games.

They day my digital eyes first open to the briefing room on the deck of the Hyperion, and there sits a hung-over Jim Raynor to give me the orders for the grim task at hand...

...On that day, I will finally be one step closer to spiritual awakening. >___>;

The vids on it look nuts!  Crazy enough to make me want to get on BNet and get stomped by Korean kids again.
